My 1st graffiti ever was a Can2 sketch, I was 13, and me and my friend took HIS sketch and dropped it on wall. we did it with BRUSHES and a bucket of white wall-color, we mixed different PRINTER COLORS with the white, cuz spray-paint was too expensive. - The good ol days, these memories always keep me down to Earth, NO EXCUSES, only hard work is what Life is about.
Crazy seeing your sketch for 9/11/01. Such a horrible day. I was 21 at the time. Working on a house in New Jersey. Heard about the first plane on the radio just before we got to the house, so we told the homeowner what happened and she turned the news on. About a min later the second plane hit. We stood in shock and silence for the next 2 hours. Later that day here in southern New Jersey you could see smoke and dust in the air. I couldn’t imagine being in NYC that day, cause 90 mins south was terrifying enough. Caught between NYC and DC, we thought Philadelphia was next and I’m only 20 miles from Philly. Sorry for the rant but seeing your work on that day, just brought it all back

That's crazy your experience of 9/11 was similar to mine. I woke up and was getting ready for school and my mom was watching it on tv and told me about what was going on. at that very moment the second plane crashed into the building. I remember being amazed because I had never seen anything like that ever. Its pretty interesting that you had a similar experience way over in Germany.

Fear of "biting" is what stops me from looking at graffiti content most of the time. I feel like if I see anything I like in another artists work that it will somehow influence what I am doing and therefore id be biting. Recently I have been thinking that biting comes down more to intent though. You can enjoy art, see something you like, and mold it around your own style. So long as you dont radically change your style or way you interpret / illustrate your letters to emulate someone elses. Like you said everything has been done atleast once already...
