Gerard was wonderful in this film. His strong personality shines through whatever character he is playing. I think that this is why people identified with his character and could empathise with him despite the violence of his actions. Yes,his eyes ARE compelling,maybe it's because the intelligence of the man (Gerard) behind them can be sensed by the viewer.
I thought this movie and his performance was awesome. It didn't end how i wanted (i wanted him to "win") but this movie kept ne entertained n guessing the whole time.
Great interview and giving some insight about why the other director left the production. Probably I'd have liked it more with Frank's vision of the script. To suspend disbelief is OK but some things were really over the top. I keep waiting for the role that makes Gerry show all his acting hability. I know it's out there somwhere.

I really didn't get all the negativity towards the movie.....ive seen movies faaar worse get much higher and better reviews.....the ending was a bit of a disappointment but it definitily catched my attention for the full time
I think it is somewhat unfortunate that they did not go with Frank's interpretation of the plot. LAC was an okay thriller, but I think it could have been so much more had the story been handled less as a "popcorn thriller" and more as a straight drama. But I admire Gerry for taking on the role as a producer. I just didn't care for the film as much has I hoped I would. JMO
The only thing i hate about this movie is the fact in real life they would’ve hired his character to be under 24 hour guarded Surveillance. He wouldn’t have been able to disappear at all

The interview was great it answered all my questions about the movie and Law Abiding Citizen is one of my favourite movies ever.
