Wow, I totally neglected the shortcuts but seeing you use it to automate the orientation to certain apps is definitely going to make me have a second look. So practical.
Orientation; there’s only 1 app I deliberately use in portrait (nonogram), but I’d rather a rotate shortcut instead of the lock. Eg, 1) unlock orientation, 2) rotate portrait, app…, 3) lock orientation, etc… and in reverse. Does that option exist? Thank you

I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

Thank you! I use both Mac and Android devices. Purchased the IPad because of the longer support for updates and the hardware. It’s disappointing though that things like
1. Direct download of music to the file system from Bandcamp is not supported natively
2.You have to add a shortcut to download files??
3.Search has to be added via settings?
4.Where do deleted files go? None of this is confusing with Android. The hassle is so unnecessary. The best thing is being able to sync iCloud Drive. The sound on the IPad Pro is as good as my Android phone.

@@LisaFosterWilson Here’s a step by step to create the watch widgy on this video from scratch choosing all of your own apps to add, this is how you create the large widgy in his UA-cam clip there is a ready made one on widgy but editing it can be harder plus after this tutorial you can make a widget with any apps you like, in any colors, and any size so let’s begin please note I’m in Australia if you are not then change the ‘au’ to your country in this link.
apps.apple.com/au/app/widgy/id1524540481 for Widgy, BUT FIRST go here to collect icon images for all the apps icons8.com/icons here for free you can choose many styles, change shape color background frame size etc if you want a watch look remember to change them all to round, transparent can get buggy so if you want a blended look use hex# 1d1d1f for the background of your apps, then open Widgy ,create new widget, select large, you are in ‘layers’ tab hit plus and add ‘tap action’,screen opens in ‘frame’ tab, select and resize - this shaded area will be the ‘button’ linked to the action so. needs to be smaller than the app icon you wish to place on it, position it where you want it, top of screen switch to ‘action’ tab and select the appropriate app action, back arrow and create ‘new layers repeating process for all apps, in the layers screen you can also toggle visibility of the button with the ‘eye’ icon far right. Lastly /optionally open one more layer and select either image, gradient or solid for background resize as you wish.

The auto rotation lock is great. The number of times I’ve wanted the rotation to switch to the right orientation automatically when watching UA-cam(landscape) or reading (portrait). But this is the second best thing. you have my upvote

I love that Widgy widet, I have downloaded and installed it. My question is, I don't know if I'm not doing something right or if my iPad just isn't compatible, it is several years old, I don't remember which model, but it is up to date for IOS, but how do I get the widget on my main home screen? I can't see how to do that, but I have what I call a 'pre screen' that my widgets are on...

They did not add the calculator app on the iPad because the calculator designer and Steve Jobs had a argument on the calculator design, the design was just the iOS calculator but oversized, Steve Jobs told the calculator designer to choose, Redesign the calculator or not include the calculator, as what we see today, he just didn’t redesign it and did not include it.
Number 6: If you swipe up at the bottom, you will exit a tab (sounds normal) but you can also do it on a iPad with a home button!

I got the 2020 and just updated to the 2021. I haven’t notice a huge difference yet but I’ve only had it a few days. Speeds are amazing though.

Using the space key to switch to trackpad is for beginners (iPhones can do that too). iPads can do that for many years with 2 fingers on the full keyboard

You can have up to 3 face ids 1 for you 1 for someone else and 1 for you with a mask on

I just figured out how to get that cool looking widget. You can create it with the Widgy app. It’s not easy, there’s no tutorial, but it can be done. I totally see why he didn’t explain it. He would need to create another video.
@@DanDesigns00 Before you start, you will need a cropped photo of the apps that you want to use. I just take a screenshot of the apps and crop them before saving to my photo library.
Next, open the Widgy app:
1st Select “Create” at the bottom left and then choose “Create A New Widgy” tab.
2nd Select “Large Widgy”
3rd Select “Add New Layer”
4th Select “Image” - “System” - “Image Library”
5th You will now see your Photos. Select the cropped-photo of the first app you want to create. It will now show up on the widget.
6th Stay in this same layer. Select the “Effects” tab.
7th Change “Edges Rounding” from 0% to 50%.
(If you did everything correctly up until this point, you will now have a rounded photo representing the icon for your app.)
8th (You are still working in the same layer) Select the “Frame” tab.
9th Use the position arrows to adjust the location of your icon on the widget. (You should create the middle icon first.)
10th Use the size +/- signs to adjust the size of the icon.
You will now have your first circle-shaped icon. Now you have to assign a function to your icon. You will need to create another layer. You will use this layer to assign a function to your first icon.
11th Select the back arrow that’s closest to the “Frame” tab. (DO NOT SELECT THE BACK ARROW AT THE VERY TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE PAGE.)
12th Choose “Add New Layer”
13th Select “Tap Action”
14th Select the “Frame” tab. Repeat steps 9 and 10 so that the dotted outline matches the position and size of your icon. The dotted outline represents the area that you will touch on the widget to activate it. Tip - the values for the dotted outline should be exactly the same as the values for the circle-shaped icon you created.
15th Select the “Action Tab” (This gives You several different ways to assign an action. The action will determine what happens when you touch the circle-shaped icon. You have several options, i.e, pasting in a URL to open a webpage, opening up an app, or activating a shortcut,
16th Repeat steps 1-15 to create the remaining icons.
The app does not have the ability to create true transparent widgets. It only gives the illusion of transparency! The empty area behind the different icons is actually the widgets background photo. 😂
You first have to create a background that matches your Home Screen. The widget will use this to give the illusion of transparency.
17th (important step) Get out of the Widgy app and go to your Home Screen on your iPad. Swipe all the way to the right until you get to your last page. Hold down your finger until you get the wiggly-icons (delete app option). This will allow you to swipe one more time to the right. You will now have an empty Home Screen. Take a screenshot of the empty home screen and save it in your photos.
18th Go back into the Widgy app. Select the icon in the upper right hand corner that looks like a cell phone. Select it. You Will now see your photos. Select the screenshot of your homepage.
19th Select “Add New Layer” and select “Image”
20th Next, select “Image tab” - “Widgy tab ” - “Transparent Background ” (You will get a warning; select ok.)
You should now see a small background picture.
21st Select the “Frame” tab. If you are working on the large widget, use the size +/- signs to adjust the size to W 16, H 16. If you are using a smaller sized widget, simply adjust the background to match the size of the widget.
Once you’re finished with this step, you should be done creating the widget.
22nd Select the back arrow at the upper left-hand corner of your screen and choose “Confirm”
Now you have to assign the widget to one of the 8 large widget slots.
23rd Select the “Manage” tab at the bottom of the main app screen. Select one of the large empty slots and assign your new widget.
Now when yo go to add a widget to your Home Screen, the Widgy app will be an option. Select the app and choose your newly created widget. Make sure the “Keep on Home Screen” option is selected. You may have. To adjust the position of the widget slightly.

You are going to fast when providing instructions. Always Remember this important fact, most people watching the video, are learning something new. You have to break down things slowly and in a delivered way.
You can pause the video whenever you need to catch up. And also reduce playback speed.
You can rewind quickly by tapping twice on the left side of the video or if using a browser go ahead and tap the left arrow key mate 👍
