The man in the grey camo shorts adjusted the choke or air intake restrictor. There is no compression release on the B model unstyled. An A model does. Our family had 2 B model and one A model. The A was a beast to start needing about twice as much arm torque even with open compression release.
on 😊😊 old school john deere tractors there a trick 2 them there have finger grips on the inside of the flywheel 4 a better grip U still have 2 pull the flywheel like U mean it if U were a bit older also would help a good tune up wouldnt hurt none either and when things set w out being started doesnt help none either 😮😮 OMG 5 6 2O24
Proud moment for that kid starting up the old Deere
That boy is all heart. I admire his tenacity.
Thank you for the support
My brother is the one that was holding the camera
I have a 37 A, I would charge hell head on sitting on that tractor. Kids tough glad to see he saw it through.
I give the young man credit for not swearing at all during the startup.
I sure would have done it by the 3rd try!
Well, I tried my best
Great work Aiden. Hope to see ,ore pf your work as you become a great farmer.
Thank you Dave
He got her that time 👍
He sure earned that one
@@tomharrower580 that was my daily workout
You Did A Great Job Young Man So Nice To See Young Man Working On The Deeres
Yes, thank you for the support
Who thought that watching some kid struggle to start a tractor for 4 minutes and then listen to it run for 6 more minutes was good content?
Darn right
Oh hell no
@@scottrooker3423 are you sure
I cannot imagine trying to start that tractor in the dead of winter, 20°, a foot of snow and the wind blowing @ 15 mph. That would be torture.
You got that right
that is why batteries, electric starters and either were developed, to shorten the torture time.
Awesome job man I love tfe old JD A-B’s
You've got to adminer that young man's foradtud ,👍
Memories of when I was much younger & not enough (weight) in my pants, lol! Like me the will was there but boy, the work involved!
Yes

That D is the one I'm looking at!
But that's a nice looking unstyled A.
Is this why farmers used to all look like Ray Bolger?
Those were the days, 😊
Call CPS! Cruel of you adults to not let that young man DRIVE that “A” after is very valiant effort to start it!
Thank you dude, but I had to move a lot of tractors
What a start
Good job, now try the one to the left of that nice A.
The John Deere MT battery is dead

That model D is a pain to start
@@aidenjoyce-wc6vz I bet with about a couple hundred more cubic inches.
How nice to see a kid learning to be a man instead of listening to to some sick teacher telling him he's really a girl!
That’s what she said
Untill i seen him close the comprehension release i was thinking what a little hulk he was spinning that fly wheel 😅

That thing definitely making some compression or something usually they not that hard to start
Yeah
Poor fellow having a hard time cŕanking an't he.
Yes sir but I got it going
They call it old start because it has been sitting for a few days
You’re correct
Que raro ese tractor no tenga unos grifos para descomprimirlo yo mas o menos grande como ese joven y hacía arrancar un D y yo tenía 14 o15 años.
A pero los tiene porque no se los abren ?.
What a PITA.
It was 70 degrees today! That ain’t no cold start
Nobody said it was a cold start

Cold start on a cold engine that's never been run that day so the engine was considered to be cold so it was the first start of the

I’m just saying this to mess with them btw guys, don’t want a big argument
I would like to see him try to start that old D
I’ll try next time
Sure wouldn't depend on that tractor
He just doesn't know what he is doing
I have a friend that's got a 35a and I can start that thing anytime
You know, I don’t have much strength
What about a JohnDeere70?
And 5020
And 6030
I bet, I know farming more than you do
