The stand type thing is called charyeok which in korean means borrowing power from a contractor or god in their physical manifestation into them. This ep they just show the physical form of their contractor. Later episodes will be shown how they fight with it. And its not like jojo at all.

With regards to the images of Jin Mori when he passed out, they pretty much covered the Gods however they were unsure whether its Jin Taejin or Jin Mori as the Monkey King. I'm not sure if anyone else had said this but also the peach is a solid give away for the monkey king theory. In the original Monkey King story, eating a peach from the god emperors grove (forgot his real name) is what gave Sun Wu Kong (the monkey king / Mori) his immortality.

i think this anime adaptation is really great. they might not be following the manhwa chronologically, but the scenes and storytelling seems smoother and cleaner.
I think the side characters come off as a bit blander compared to the manhwa since they don't do the backstories as much. And I wanted to see Q get beat up more but it's fine so far

I kind of feel like that’s Jin Mori lost memory other than Jin taejin because Jin taejin is not related to Mori by blood so I don’t see how he could have those crossed eyes that Jin Mori has even is you look at the “demon” the commissioner summoned they have the same eyes. You were also right, Tai Chi guy, sandals guy, and bat guy although they lost the competition, showed that they had the potential for chaerok, they all show up in later arcs of the story, and GP stands for God Points.
The “peach” is called the divine pellets and it enhances your genuine fighting skills, so physical abilities and not you “borrowed power” which is the clown from one of the commissioners.
I feel like in the next episode they are going to explain about charloc cause in second episode there was only one scene of it and here they start to show it more to leave people wondering , so in the next episode to make people stop being confused they are going to explain to mori as he was saying what is that when the green guy was attacking him
Manseok (the dude with the sandals) is calling Mori a monster, and manseok doesn’t use charyeok, the black mist was just a show of him losing himself in bloodlust and anger( in the webtoon the black mist is just wind). Even in the webtoon he doesn’t use charyeok throughout the entire story.

Manseok (the dude with the sandals) is calling Mori a monster, and manseok doesn’t use charyeok, the black mist was just a show of him losing himself in bloodlust and anger( in the webtoon the black mist is just wind). Even in the webtoon he doesn’t use charyeok throughout the entire story.
Baek seungchul backstory isn’t shown in the anime. If you read the WEBTOON it shows the backstory and his character will make sense.
