Thanks for the video Alana. I've been following you for about 2 years. I really appreciate your honesty and intelligence when talking about these issues.
I'm now in my late thirties and I am a bit concerned that things may be getting progressively worse. I'm now on the maximum dose of Lamotrigine, Olanzapine, Mirtazapine, Clonazepam and they have recently added the anxiolytic, Pregabalin. I was on Depakote (Valproic acid) before Lamotrigine, but the new UK guidance is that no one under 55 should be prescribed it.
Hopefully though my life will become more stable, especially in regards to work. But, I will definitely be getting a new Therapist to help me through it and I'll double my commitment to regular exercise & a really healthy diet. Staying calm, stress free, physically healthy, being creative and sleeping well is so important at any age when dealing with mental health issues. Good luck everyone.

Wow I can honestly relate to everything you've said! I'm on a lot of medication too. I'm glad you're getting a new therapist and utilising strategies that help you. Thank you for supporting my channel, it means a lot. I wish you all the best. Fighting mental illness is hard but it's definitely possible with the right supports 😊

I’m 55 years old, and I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia when I was 21yo. Diagnosed with manic depressive disorder when I was in elementary school. I forget when it was combine together as schizoaffective disorder. But to answer the question; my symptoms are getting worse as I age. ❤Your channel.

Ah yes it seems like everyone is having the same issues with the symptoms intensifying as they age. I'm going to do some more research into it and ask my Psychiatrist about it and hopefully make a follow-up video because it's really interesting

Hey Alana, good seeing you. I heard voices starting age seven but never told anyone. I was a very happy boy. I rebelled against the notion I was mentally ill as a child and that my relationship with God was a symptom of the illness. Did you live in the imagination as a child and what are your religious beliefs?

You have put on a lot of weight baby due to clozapine. I recommend changing it because it is number one in weight gain.
