Immer noch eins meiner Lieblings-Silvester-Videos!!! Großartige Stimmung. So ganz allein im Auto durch die Berliner Nacht. Ordentlich was los auf den Strassen.
I found it energising, sad, often breathtakingly beautiful in a random kind of way and as a simply conceived documentation almost entirely successful especially when the live sound kicks in ca 4.30. So to the legends who put it together in such a concentrated and focused manner, thank you.
Our niece living in Berlin sent us this link. Watched the whole thing hoping to recognize something we knew. This city is insane. Even our cat enjoyed it.

Einfach nur klasse,da wo ich groß geworden bin und später gewohnt habe Kreuzberg und Neuköln es war zu schön alles wieder zu sehen und zu erkennen. Ich bin nun schon seit 15j. raus aus Berlin,danke das ich mitfahren durfte!
Kreuzberg und Neukölln sind zu absoluten dreckslöchern verkommen in den letzten 5-15 Jahren seit dem die Linken regieren und die Immigranten einmarschieren.
Dude Dude , stimmt! Nur über meine Leiche würde ich in diesen von Zuwanderern übervölkerten Stadtteilen wohnen wollen. Es werden immer mehr. Da haben überall mal Deutsche (entschuldigt bitte dieses Wort) gewohnt.

I think you misunderstood. Every city, every municipality, every town and every street in the entire country of the Philippines is like this. The fireworks in this video is just in Berlin. I’m pretty sure it is not like this in the entire country of Germany. And another thing, even several days before New Years Eve there are already lots of firecrackers and fireworks display again in the entire country.

Where are the best places to see these local street fireworks too?
in berlin fireworks are going from i would say 8-9pm up to 2-3 am but the strongest times are 11am - 1 am i think. (you can hear the sound of explotions even days before the 31) And these "street"fireworks you can see in berlin almost everywhere at every street, can be dangerous so be carefull and not alone there are alot of idiots out there but yea its fun and a little chaos but its normal in germany :D

Die UA-camserver nehmen die Zeit der Pacific Standard Time (Westküste der USA wo auch das google Headquarter ist und dort ist man nun mal 9 Stunden später dran).

Is it legal in Germany for citizens to shoot off their own fireworks? Because I know in most places in the United States it is illegal to even sell fireworks let alone use them. Kinda strange how Germans have some of the strictest gun laws but allow their people to use explosives in cities next to buildings and cars.
yup, you can get fireworks in EVERY supermarket, even 2 weeks before new year.... i think you need to be 16 tho...
It is legal to buy fireworks (only legal and tested one by the BAM) from 29th dec. until 31st dec and it is allowed to use them between 31th dec 18:00 and 01st jan. 06:00.
See.. we dont need guns, as long as we are allowed to get massively drunk in public (alcohol is aviable 24/7 - everywhere ) and burn some cars and buildings down one night of the year :D The citizens of Germany spend 150.000.000 Euro on fireworks just 4 NYE! And some are blowing their own Hand off ... if You are in Berlin at NYE ... You slightly get an idea how it felt like back in 1945 ....
To put it into relation with 40 million households and 80 million citizens the Germans only spent 1,40€ per citizen or 2,88€ per household on fireworks. Berlin's (3 million citizens) biggest emergency hospital (UKB) had to treat only 20 NYE related accidents. So it is not as bad as some people are proclaiming about NYE in Germany and Berlin.
I actually think its more strange that the usa has the most liberal gun laws but americans cant get fireworks *lol*.
