Thanks for video, I am reliant on your BBC Question Time videos because I'm out of the UK.
So am I but I wouldn’t rely on Question Time for a balanced and non biased view on current affairs. I get my info from other sources as well .
At least you avoid paying the TV licence!
@@christinefiedor3518 It's all left wing bias that's for sure.
@@christinefiedor3518do you think QT it right or left leaning?
My guess is that whichever you answer, you lean the opposite
@@Lewismarty1 how very assuming and judgemental of you!
Kier stammer is not putting his money where is mouth is… He is putting his mouth where the money is 🤷♀️
Well said
What does that mean?
@@brianbell3836 "Putting your mouth where your money is" suggests prioritizing words or promises over actual financial investment or action. It might imply that someone is more willing to talk a big game without following through with the necessary support or investment, essentially putting emphasis on verbal claims rather than tangible contributions. It highlights a potential disconnect between what someone says and what they actually do... "Keir 'Two Tier' 'Stammer' Stalin" is a prime example of someone who does this. He talks a good game but does f*ckall, which, in the process, puts our nation in jeopardy of total collapse. There are a couple things to remember: first of all, the BBC is part of the UK 'propaganda media network' which has a crucial role in steering opinions to favour the incumebent government. Examples of other networks that are paid huge sums of government money to be their puppet speakers include Channel 4 and ITV. Channel 4 was paid an unknown figure by the Conservatives whilst they were campaigning during the G.E, for a botched attempt at smearing the Reform UK Party (a shamefully egregious false claim that the party is nazified/racist). Here are some psychological tactics that could be used to sway viewers' opinions in a political context:
Presenting information in a way that emphasizes certain aspects over others can shape perceptions. For instance, highlighting the positive impacts of the incumbent government's policies while downplaying any negative consequences.
Using a carefully selected audience that reflects a bias toward the incumbent government can create an echo chamber. If the audience reacts positively to certain points, it can influence viewers at home.
Altering lighting and camera angles can affect how politicians are perceived. Softer lighting can make someone appear more trustworthy, while harsh lighting can highlight flaws.
Curating questions that favor the incumbent or challenge the opposition can create a narrative that supports a specific agenda.
Highlighting body language-such as nodding or frowning-during the incumbent’s speaking time versus the opposition’s can subtly influence viewers' perceptions of credibility and confidence.
Utilizing emotional stories or testimonials that align with the incumbent’s agenda can create a stronger connection with viewers, overshadowing opposing viewpoints.
Presenting data without context or using cherry-picked statistics can mislead viewers into thinking the incumbent’s policies are more effective than they are.
Reinforcing existing beliefs by repeatedly presenting arguments or evidence that align with the viewers' preconceptions can solidify support for the incumbent.
Introducing side issues or controversies surrounding opposition leaders can divert attention from their platforms and diminish their influence.
Using influencers or respected figures to publicly support the incumbent can sway viewers by tapping into their desire to conform to perceived majority opinions. Make sure to Vote Reform!
That sounds like a mouthful what can you mean !

Back to the roadshow? Is that still on?
On what basis do you make this argument? The way I see it (and I'm not from the UK so I have no stake in this) she criticizes both major parties as well as Reform when they make statements that are incorrect or dishonest. And equally attacked the Greens for that statement about open borders on their website.
@@AH-te5gsshe is constantly trying to impose her opinion on audience.

@@dub604 Hardly, he made a mistake on his tax return 😂 HMRC accepted it wasn’t deliberate.

🤔 Representative audience with just three who voted Reform!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha
@@thomashobbs1498 Reform received 14.3% of the vote.
Unless there were only 21 people in the audience, Reform voters were underrepresented.
that's more than should be in the audience. 650 Parliamentary seats and 5 are reform. That's 0.77%. Venue has 250 seats so that means there should be 1.925 reform voters
And her poor excuse of saying well perhaps people didn't want to put their hand up is nonsense. Anyone who voted for Reform would have put their hand up I'm sure.
@@seanmccannwildcamping I'm fairly sure it's based on vote share not seat total but I might be wrong.
My lord, Fiona Bruce is insufferable. She is constantly attempting to undermine Zia Yusuf. If you don't like him, fine. If you don't agree with his opinions, fine. But to actively try to undermine when he is making perfectly reasonable points is ludicrous. Either contradict him and argue your point, or let him speak without silly attempts at undermining.
The green party collapsed at the question about borders.
I am a green and I agree. She did not handle that well.
@@AH-te5gstbh in a declining society where immigrants bring in more money then take it makes sense and helps in the long run
@@rooks4ever Of course, migration makes perfect sense and anyone claiming that we don't need it is not thinking properly. Completely open borders however, I'm not sure that kind of rhetoric helps anyone, least of all the Green party.
Yeah but they were all clapping her.....which I couldn't believe.
@@AH-te5gs Tell us where you live because I have seen you say you don't live here. So tell us where you are and how immigration is working for you.
Zia is the only guy who spoke sense labour waffled on as well as the Green Party just stating the obvious many people knew ,it’s time for a change it’s time for reform!
It's difficult for me to believe that anyone would vote for a comedy show like the greens. Labour are dangerous.
He wants to start WWIII
@@mariabottle9128 I second that 💯
Love how the reform guy called out their bs 'proportional audience' lie, and then Fiona self-pwned when only 3 people raised their hands.
Zia didn't answer the question on Crime/prisons very well and allowed himself to be side-tracked. A better response would be to ask why the UK prison population is the second highest in Europe behind Turkey. Then follow that by pointing out that the prison population doubled from 40,000 to 80,000 between 1996 and 2010 which was primarily during Labours tenure (its now around 88k). Zia was correct in that government figures show that since 1900 the population has doubled but the prison population has quadrupled! So increased population does increase prison populations its just difficult to state that without hurting the feelings of some of those in the audience.
Another question to be asked in that regard would be how many people are now in prison relating to sexual or drug-related offenses. Those would not have been represented in figures in the early twentieth century. Anyway, I don't know the exact figures and the relation between migration and the size of the prison population is also a debate that needs to be had (I don't know the figures).
Ricky Gervais says 'just because you don't like or are offended by what I say, doesn't make you right. In this case, just because we don't like, or are offended by what you say, doesn't make you wrong.
@@AH-te5gs The figures published by government are Violent offenses against persons (32%) Sexual Offences (20%), Drug Related (18%). A few shocking numbers are 50% of all prisoners between 15-17 are in for violent offences
true, but he brought the debate round to the ground that really concerns people (hospitals, homes) and from where Reform can win

The country is 100% of GDP in debt. When we have full time workers, nurses, queuing up at food banks, when homeless people are turfed out of hotels to make room for economic migrants who’ll work for a pittance because it’s 5 times the wage back home, when our services are buckling and the most in need in our society are being punished like pensioners and even the long term sick have been told to get a job.
Politicians on £96k a year, many of which are millionaires accepting gifts from wealthy sources and claiming their fuel bills as expenses.
Power has been given to local councils in exchange for less central funding, what do you think bankrupt councils will do with that power in relation to taxes?
The country is broken and the last thing we need is more of the same, Labour is not change, it’s a continuation of the previous government.
Austerity 2.0 is coming whilst the pigs at the top continue to gorge themselves. 😡

The wet audience who applaud any answers which are remotely 'empathetic' are the kind of people who allowed the Uk to get in the shambles it is, weak, benefit of the doubt assuming saps.
Poor on the BBC. QT is no place for former MPs to represent a political party.
That studio was like an alternative universe. I can see why the Reform guy made his dig at the composition of the studio audience.
Every pro-immigration platitude was received with thunderous applause. Even the Green woman’s humming and harring her way through a defence of open borders was well received.
all carefully put together. that was shown after the pre-election broadcast where they were exposed as BBC producers you name it.
That’s because you’re the one living in an alternate universe. Most British people are decent and compassionate and have well reasoned perspectives on complex issues.
