I went to Wilson Ave School from 1965 to 1974 and than onto East Side High from 1974 to 1978. I know all those streets but now I live in Florida. Newark will always be were my heart lives.
Oh what a joyous ride down memory lane. Wish you would have past some of the schools. Like Lafayette, East Side High, Oliver, St. Ann’s, etc. Southern California is where I live. I love it here but Jersey is where I claim HOME. I was raised on UNION STREET off Green Street. Between Elm and Lafayette. I went to Lafayette St School, St. James and graduated from East Side High.
Always wanted to live right there...However there's not way in hell I'm paying $1800 for 1bedroom apartment PLUS utilities and NO parking... Imagine get home after a long day of work only to start looking for a parking spot about 10 blocks from home...
My brother was born in Newark and for some reason he has very negative memories of certain places. I wonder if he ever saw this area? I think it's beautiful in its variety.
Me dj kellett. I know all about New Jersey I was born and raised in new Jersey I lived in north Arlington nj..now I live in surfside beach south Carolina

Large cities have rich history and culture, and many other advantages. If poverty and inequality are solved, they'll shine.
