Respect for sharing such a personal and courageous story Brian. For anybody that thinks you've 'lost your manhood', they should realise it takes more of a 'man' to go through a procedure like this and come out the other side so positive, open and selfless.
Hey man, I am 28 & I got my vasectomy 2 weeks ago. You posted that video just a few days before I got mine and it helped me to see the full experience before doing it myself. Went super well for me, minor pain (1/10) for a few moments in the first 3 days, kind of a little tap on the nuts with the fingers haha. No ice needed, nothing for me, I was super lucky. I am super happy with my experience, thank you again for sharing. Also saw you are vegan as well, thank you for the animals my man!

My husband and I knew even before getting married that we didn't want kids. I asked him to wait until 30 to get the vasectomy just to be sure that we didn't change our minds, he did just that. We were never wavering on the topic, ever. The whole week after him having his procedure I went through something hormonally that made me have deep regrets choosing that with him, I even got super resentful of him and told him it all. I think it was just the finality of it all and my (slight) oppositional defiance of knowing that the choice was gone. We are 3 years out from that and I can honestly say that it was the best decision we ever made, I now have 0 regrets at all. If Sammy goes through this, I just want her to know it's normal (or I think it is) and to just talk through it with you.
Thank you for thinking of your partner in your relationship and sharing in the responsibility of birth control. In my experience, people who’ve undergone a vasectomy have thought deeply about it…likely more than someone having an accidental pregnancy. I hope you heal quickly 😊
But you can pull out at climax and use condoms as well as the girl can use birth control meds so why would you need to do a surgery that technically damages you?
100% sure ill always be child free @ 33 years old, nothing will change my mind. Same reasons I got a vasectomy. I think more men need to share their experience, great video! Men need more responsibility in birth control, unfair to women.
Wow the nurse said that?! I did it at 24. No more dangerous pills for my partner. No children, seems like there is a surplus of them on earth already. So glad, I've had a hard time supporting myself much less kids.
Amazing to hear from men getting the snip. Yes, as a 28 f with no kids, I got my tubes removed. And it's such a relief and very much a reason why I did it. If I ever want kids, there are children who need a loving home.
Thanks for sharing Brian ! My partner and I decided we didn't want kids either, and our decision made a big mess in our families, people were disappointed and called us selfish. We went through it, and he got a vasectomy at 26, best decision ever ! Thank you for your video. Remember, People, you decide what is good for you, not others !
You made the right decision, Having kids is an imposition, forcing someone into a very high risk game, with no insurance policy, procreation is morally irresponsible if having kids is about how it benefits or appeals to you, but you don't have a good rational argument to justify it. Rather than bring new children into the world creating more NEEDs, there are so many children that exist now who need saving, we should fix the problems that need fixing already, not make potentially more for no good reason.
I’m sitting in the doctors office looking for something to talk me off this ledge. As a fellow content creator, appreciate your work and your message on this topic that is not much talked about out. I will be going through this procedure with one eye open, with the assurance that this is the right decision for me and my wife. I’m 50 and she JUST turned 40! I agree with your selflessness about sharing it the responsibility of birth control and the “norms” around the responsibility being on the woman. I believe this will bring us closer and open our lives up in other ways. Also, I’m not looking to be a 50+ year old dad… again (I have a 13year old already) Thanks again for this video on various levels!
Great video! My husband got his done at 33 when we decided 100% that kids were not for us. He didn’t take any painkillers for it, and said it was no big deal. I ended up getting a salpingectomy as well, to make twice as sure we wouldn’t have any accidents. Thanks for talking about this, and for being so open about the fact that not having kids is a valid choice!
3/31/2024 You should try to get this video translated into every language!!! You should try to work with the experts in how to make the experience 'perfect' for every guy, including the guy that came out complaining. Maybe Kaiser should allow guys like that to have extra time their to make sure they get the 'medical grade ice pack' and pain killer pills ready to go BEFORE it is done, as well as the jock strap, proof that they have it ready to go before the procedure is done. That way, every patient will say, only pain was the quick prick of the shot, still worth getting it done. Kaiser should be willing to let guys like that stay two weeks to make sure that the entire procedure really goes perfect, heals completely, etc. This way, about one million per day will get it done, quickly lower the murder rate!!!
Got a vasectomy back when I was 27. No kids. My long term gf and I are very pleased with the decision to get her off birth control and our sex life also improved. Plus the having free time and income without the weight of child rearing is like a life hack. Good for you Brian! Best part is if we change our minds, well we still have options. It’s a win win.
My friend got his done at age 25 after his first daughter was born. His mom talked him into doing it she a nurse. Funny thing he didn't need one. He on cocktail of mental drugs and already has low testerone. He drinks and smokes heavy too. He 41 but looks much older

Dude! I just saw your insta again after all these years! Wow scrolling past your new posts and the fact that you and sammy have grown so much! Love this dude! Loving your journey so far!
I want to say thanks. I have been thinking about it for some time and have seen a lot of not so good videos on the subject and it has discouraged me for a while. seeing your video has given me the motivation to get it done, I am 49 and have 2 kids. Both my wife and I have agreed that this is the better option for us because we do not want to have any more children. Thanks again for the video.
Funnily enough, I am also a 30 year old vegan that got my vasectomy two weeks ago. However I've got three kids, my wife and I experienced a miscarriage two years ago and I'm fairly satisfied with my decision. Also two of my four best friends have no kids and have had their procedures done well over a year ago. Glad it went well for you, man!
Thank you for sharing your experience. When I got my tubes removed, it was a whole ordeal. I had to go under, couldnt get out of bed for 2 weeks by myself, but it is so worth it. It also took me 10 years to find a doctor who would even consider the procedure. The amount of doctors who denied me because they had some social ideas for women. For me, it wasn't just about not wanting children. It was best for my health too. So definently worth every denial. Thank you again for documenting this and raising awareness on being proactive in these decisions.
I had a vasectomy and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I will never want kids because I don’t have the money to raise kids, I value getting good sleep, and it’s not like there’s a shortage of people in the world. I’m never in traffic thinking “There’s not enough people on the road”. You’re not being neutered and it doesn’t effect your testosterone or your load. Also, women find it sexy that you’re being responsible and they’re more likely to be comfortable sleeping with a man when they’re not worrying about pregnancy.
Good for you! My husband had his at 34. We had three beautiful kids and no desire for me. The best argument folks could offer against seemed to be along the lines of what if one of your kids die. Brilliant to take control of your family planning in the way that feels right to you.
Thank you for this video! I never heard any man in real life or youtube to talk about this so I am sure the topic is very stigmatized. So high five for breaking another barrier down for others and being a pioneer!😎💪
I'm glad everything went so well for you! I think you and Sammy should do whatever works for the both of you, and I think it's really sweet that you wanted to do this for her! I love you guys so much!
This was a really interesting video to watch as a women. I always admire your honesty and incredible content you produce weekly. Ypur such an amazing guy and i totally agree with everything you said, like that girks are responsible for it and all kid things
Oh boy, I'm on the channel to learn about being a Vegan and I fell into this. 😁Your decision is not selfish. You are being responsible. And you've taken steps in case you change your mind. Bravo
I always knew I wasn't cut out for motherhood, so I didn't have any kids. Sometimes I get uncalled-for looks of pity and the "You're going to regret it," type of remarks from time to time. I've even gotten some outright hostile responses, like "I hate childless women!" and I kind of think that comes from people who had kids just because they thought that's what you're supposed to do, and now they're bitter at how much their life has changed.
Hello, thank you for the video. I have a couple of questions: 1. Was it scalpel or no scalpel vasectomy? 2. Did doctor put tiny metal clip on your vas tubes connected to testicles? I heard some do, some dont and I am allergic to metal. 3. How is lifting after these months, does it feel any different, uncomfortable? 4. How are orgasms? Do you feel fully "drained out" after or you have impression something is still left down there? Asking as many guys says there is this kind of change. 5. Do you still have morning errections? Same here, many guys complain this part is gone. Really waiting for your reply as these are super important points for me. Thank you.
Also I got my vasectomy Jan 27 (29 years old) and did the same thing morning of procedure scrambling for a jock strap. I didn’t go to Dicks, just Walgreens cvs and Walmart, so I was unsuccessful. Lol they let me off with some tight briefs they had :)
I’m 31 years old. Just got my vasectomy 3 days ago man and I was super surprised how simple it was. I was sooo nervous I had to take a Valium. But the procedure went well. I was laughing and talking to the doctor as they were doing the procedure 🤣 they were cool. I have a 1 year old son. My girl has a daughter also so I’m also a step father. I’ve always wanted 1 kid and I’ve always wanted a boy. The good lord sent me a healthy spoiled little rascal so I was done man. Plus my son has a sibling so he’ll never grow up alone. I make great money man it’s just hella expensive to raise kids especially if you want to give them the best of the best in the world. Plus I don’t have a big family so most of the time it’s me and my girl. I’m a truck driver so I’m gone from home alot and my girl is very supportive. Even though she says she’s fine I know with the two kids it’s hard at times especially with the fact my son hates sleeping but my girl is a trooper! I just couldn’t bare putting my girl in more stress with having a third child. She wanted a third one but after a few logical conversations she completely understood where I was coming from. So far no pain, no swelling, no bruising, and I literally went to work the next day after the vasectomy. I feel great guys and I have peace of mind 🔥 highly recommend
Brian, you are AWESOME. I love that you got a V for so many reasons. I have started to hate humanity but you are one of those rare people that just shine through and make me feel like there is hope. Thank you
Brian im proud that you are honest about your personal opinions on parenthood and you and sammie did say u both wanted to travel and enjoy life she has alot of ambitions so do you... And you both deserve your own happiness and choice xxx 🥰 love to you both get well soon .... And at least u can both enjoy romance without any worries 🤘
I’m scheduled for mine in a few weeks and I definitely felt some very conflicting emotions when my wife and I decided to do this. I always wanted to have a big family like the one I grew up in, but the birth of our first child was incredibly traumatic on my wife and another one is not in the cards for us. Not what we wanted, but that’s life.
3/21/2024 Excellent video here! You (or anyone else out there) might start a successful business selling a back pack filled with a jock strap and whatever else might be helpful. You could work with jock strap companies to use this video to help others prepare and recover carefully. Were you able to drive okay afterwards, or was it better to have your girlfriend drive? Maybe you could start a 'taxi company focused on vasectomy patients' taking them back and forth to the clinic, etc. How long before you were able to take a 'normal' pressure shower down there? Did you have to avoid all shower pressure 'down there'? Were you allowed to take a bath or go swimming in a chlorinated pool? Lakes, rivers, etc., are a no no after any surgery including getting a tattoo because they can get infected...tattoo is considered a 'raw wound' warning in some other video. Did you go on antibiotic afterwards, for how long, which one? Many people are allergic and need to be careful about which antibiotic they choose. This is probably because teens were give antibiotics for acne and the meat industry fills animals (including many farmed fish) with antibiotics because they get sick, standing shoulder to shoulder until they are slaughtered. You might like the channel called 'Chef AJ' because she interviews many vegan athletes. Same with PETA. Paul McCartney had/has a successful business with vegan frozen dinners. Maybe you could do that with your full body photo on each t.v. dinner. I liked the 'Thanksgiving' t.v. dinner when I was about 11. It had the slices of turkey in gravy; peas looked good and tasted good; mashed potatoes looked good and tasted good; cranberry sauce looked good and the sweet tartness made the meal really 'click'; maybe there were some carrots as well. I think it was called 'Swansons t.v. dinners'. Maybe you could do a company called 'Cultured Turkey' to sell millions of 'Thanksgiving t.v. dinners' with your full body photo on the cover of each one. There is a successful 'Cultured Meat' company in Alameda, California, shown on You Tube. It may be called 'Good Meat.' They need to focus their sales on the 200 million (about 4 billion all over the world) low income single moms with many kids, the way I grew up. Instead, they are selling overpriced 'Cultured Meat' to the Fortune 500 crowd. Ideally, every human should get paid $100 per hour for making a video like this or just reading any book (like a dictionary or from an Encyclopedia) to help end world poverty instead of wasting trillions on killing people with bullets and rockets, etc. The money is definitely there, it is just going to the wrong people. Good Day
My only 2 concerns are this...1. Complications. My old boss had one and had to go back to the doctor/surgeon because of intense pain. 2. Im a bit of a hippy and it just feel like doing something against my bodies natural way of being will put something else out of balance. Ive considered getting one for a little while but those 2 main reasons came up for me, nothing about being "less manly". I support your's and anyone decision to do with their body what they want to though 1000% percent freedom body sovereignty mode. My wife and I settled on Condoms, and are totally used to it now!
Go with what feels right :) I will say that the internet definitely scares you cause you hear the horror stories the most often, but the percent of pain free successful vasectomies is extremely extremely high. I’m a bit of a hippy too and I think there’s something to say about manifesting your outcome with it :) either way good luck to you!
Respect Brian for being so open and so freaking brave! Ouch! . I'm 10 years older than you and had a wee daughter when I was 39. Do I have a life, no, am I tired, yes, do I have a dad bod, definitely.... But man it is so magic and makes me melt every time I see her. Thanks for the video man! I wish there was less of a stigma around choosing to be being childfree, not everyone needs or wants a kid and thats perfectly okay!
I'd be interested to know whether to initial conversation around the topic of a vasectomy was instigated by you or by Sammy? (Apologies if this has been covered in a previous video - I'm not 100% up to date!). I ask as I've lightly touched on the subject with my husband a couple of times and it's resulted in a slightly... tense(?) conversation that was quickly dropped. We are both very clear that we don't want children and had a lot of discussion around that before we got married (Just to make absolutely sure!). I'd love some suggestions on how to open up a more free dialogue with him. For context I am 35 and he is 28.
That’s crazy, I’m from San Diego but live in Phoenix. Im about to be 43 and I have 3 grown kids and I just had another one 2 years ago. I’m thinking of getting the procedure done but I’m really terrified to be honest. Im not sure if I’m scared of the procedure the fact that I can’t have kids anymore. But my wife and I are pretty much done having kids. I’m just a big baby!🤣
Got my v thru the VA. Took a month and ½ to get my procedure. At age 42 (2021) and 5 kids. Weirdly they left me open to heal and it took about three weeks to feel like no one was squeezing my balls and to go back to work.
Thank you so much for your insight on this. It was *incredibly* helpful Im 24 and considering it myself for the exact same reasons you did. Not sure if you mentioned this, but Im curious if you discussed it with your parents or other relatives prior to deciding to go ahead with the procedure? I know that at the end of the day, the decision is completely my own, but i feel obligated to bring it up to people first
Doctor said my snip wouldn’t hurt. But I felt that right nut get snipped lol 😂 I have two beautiful girls. But my wife and I were done after that. Didn’t want no more children. We felt that we could raise two to be successful in this tough world.
Im 30, not married and no kids. Im getting mine done in March. I dont want kids especially in this day and age we live in, i knew since i was 20 that i didnt want them.
So, it's one of the most embarrassing thing about vegans. Dude just disrespected his parents even if they don't view it as such. But yeah, the population cult aspect of veganism blends up with the Greta climate cult crowd. Hopefully there'll be a reverse vasectomy video uploaded and this dude will do his part, rearing and raising respectful new humans.

Your video was very helpful. Thanks for your honesty. I was hesitant on getting mine done but now I can go about it more comfortably.
@@cappadon1065 glad to hear this was helpful!
Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼
Great video brother!
Thanks Adit!
You are awesome for sharing Brian! Thank you also for mentioning the effects of the pills for Sammy and all of us women, and how it is normalized.
Good for you Brian! Just like it is for women, it's YOUR body, YOUR choice. ❤️
Aye, that’s so cool Brian! Welcome to seedless grape gang !
Ayyyyye *high five*
love you man
I'm glad everything went so well for you! I think you and Sammy should do whatever works for the both of you, and I think it's really sweet that you wanted to do this for her! I love you guys so much!
Well done Brian you have Showed your commitment to Sammy in a fantastic way
This was a really interesting video to watch as a women.
Bravo
Thank you for sharing this with us Brian!
I think it's fantastic that you know what you don't want and are confident, and happy with your choice... Thanks for sharing the positive vibe!
Thanks for the support K!
Hello, thank you for the video. I have a couple of questions:
Thank you.
Finding a jock strap at a store called Dicks sporting , was a safe bet.
The irony was not lost on me 😆
Freedom, yes
Love the video and the transparency! Thank you for sharing.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I had a hysterectomy at 36 and am SOOOO happy with it.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm a bit older, and have been considering this myself. I appreciate the detail.
Glad it was helpful!
Brian, you are AWESOME. I love that you got a V for so many reasons. I have started to hate humanity but you are one of those rare people that just shine through and make me feel like there is hope. Thank you
15:58 you can also adopt, which is more moral than having your own child anyway
Good Day
Love the background image choices 😂
Pretty good huh? 😂
You’re a good guy! Congrats and love to you and Sammy!
I wanted to do it when I was 21. They would not allow it. I am glad I have my son though. I love him with all my heart and soul.
you are amazing🤩 your fiance is SUPER lucky to have you👏
Thanks for sharing 👍
Respect Brian for being so open and so freaking brave! Ouch! . I'm 10 years older than you and had a wee daughter when I was 39. Do I have a life, no, am I tired, yes, do I have a dad bod, definitely.... But man it is so magic and makes me melt every time I see her. So with that said, you have your little soldiers frozen and IF one day you guys change your mind, you have the door open to bring magic to your life. I wish you both all the best.
I’m glad you’re there for your daughter it’s clear you’re gonna be the best dad she could ever hope for, much love!
@@BrianTurnerOfficial thanks man! 🤩
At least we can all sleep soundly knowing that there is frozen Brock Lee safely stored away somewhere
Taking bids on little frozen Brock Lees 😆
@@BrianTurnerOfficial I need a few thousand for my Vegan Super Army
Great video, nice that you have compassion, when it comes to women on birth control. I can’t have that, it messes me all up.
Great video. Very well done.
Thank you for sharing your experience Brian!!
I’m 29 with 2 kids and am currently thinking about the procedure as well.
My question to you is does this procedure affect testosterone levels for muscle gains. Silly I know but genuinely would like to know 😅
Hey mate, love the transparency and honesty.. watched this a 2nd time as I'm also joining the snipped brotherhood next week.😜 Interested to know what it was like easing back into training??.. my doc wants me to take 6 weeks off the gym!!! 😱😱😅 2 weeks seems like a mission.. interested to hear how it was for you..
If I remember correctly, it was the third week that I went back but I started a very light with no legs and then by the fifth week I was able to go 100%
Well Done.
Your motivations, your choice, your freedom Brian! 👍🏼.. Btw where's the nurse at?? 😅🤣
I know, I’m waiting for her comment! Where you at?
I didn't get a vasectomy but I did get a tubal ligation best damn decision I've ever made and it came with a surprising gift
What gift?
GRATEFUL FOR IUD
34 doing this soon also thanks for the video
I completely understand where you are coming from. I had the same kind of thoughts.
How bad did the needle hurt and for how long? That's the only part that scares me
Got my v thru the VA. Took a month and ½ to get my procedure. At age 42 (2021) and 5 kids. Weirdly they left me open to heal and it took about three weeks to feel like no one was squeezing my balls and to go back to work.
Thank you so much for your insight on this. It was *incredibly* helpful
Im 24 and considering it myself for the exact same reasons you did.
Not sure if you mentioned this, but Im curious if you discussed it with your parents or other relatives prior to deciding to go ahead with the procedure?
I know that at the end of the day, the decision is completely my own, but i feel obligated to bring it up to people first
Yeah I did but they have a lot of respect for my decisions so it may not go so well for you, ultimately it is YOUR choice though man!
Do you use the cup or just the jock strap?
Who did you use for cryo? I’ve been quoted high amounts and am looking for something more reasonable
this is so cool!
Doctor said my snip wouldn’t hurt. But I felt that right nut get snipped lol 😂
I have two beautiful girls. But my wife and I were done after that. Didn’t want no more children. We felt that we could raise two to be successful in this tough world.
Ooof I can’t imagine if the anesthesia wore off 😳 haha
@@BrianTurnerOfficialI have to be fully seated if I had this done. I think it pointless u less your in serious relationship
Hey bro how are things now after 11 months ? Any pain or anything ?
Real question: How really bad was the shot to be numbed for the procedure im 30 and have been pondering it for over a uear?
Bring a kid in to a world 🌎 that sucks on every level is tough.
what kind of shoes are u wearing in the beginning of the video 1:31?
They are vivo bare foot shoes :)
How do I get started with an appointment for a consultation? I’ve looked into it and had trouble finding the right place to call
I am 18 and scedualed the appointment a week after I turned 18
Im 30, not married and no kids. Im getting mine done in March. I dont want kids especially in this day and age we live in, i knew since i was 20 that i didnt want them.
How many days did you wait until you used your member for the first time?
Unfortunately you reinforced the 'antinatalist' vegan stereotype.
Do you have any PVPS ?
I'm getting mine done. Iv got 4 kids love them to death. DoNT have kids I tell everyone that. DoNT unless your committed 100% all day ever night for the rest of your life.
I got my when i was 28 year old last December 2020 pandemic year...my reason is i feel we are in a apocalyptic days 😅😅😅
