- Earlier this year I was sent a Munbyn direct Thermal printer and was asked if you could use non-branded thermal labels in it. Today, I am going to take you along as I set up some new labels I got that are not from Munbyn.

what maximum length you can print on munbyn printer and what if have a continuous roll, as i saw an option with no gap
I've not tried printing long labels sorry and I don't have any continuous rolls to try. You may need to contact Munbyn directly to ask them

Unfortunately not as they are not branded. I searched for Thermal labels on Amazon and ordered the ones in the sizes I needed.

Have you ever found Transparent thermal printer labels that are ACTUALLY clear and transparent???
I've ordered this kind TWICE now from amazon but both times they were NOT transparent as their descriptions said.
Kind of reminded me of that 'Old' gift wrapping tape years ago that you could easily see taped all over your gift! 😂🙄
I want some transparent 'invisible' labels for glass jars but I'm not having any luck finding these!
As yet, I've not used clear thermal labels. I know Munbyn have some on their site, but I've not yet ordered them

You should of put those direct upc labels in the bio im having trouble finding some for my MUNBYN printer
Just google direct thermal labels. Plenty of places come up including Amazon and ebay. I don't put in the bio as my links would be Australia and a majority of my viewers are in other countries.
Does this printer work on vinyl sticker?
No it doesn't. It needs special paper that is heat activated
can you use corel draw ????
Yes you can use any drawing program
Can I use the thermal slips that UPS send us for free ?
As I'm in Australia I really don't know. If you go to the Munbyn site, they advise which postal systems can be used with their different machines
can u print 4x2 labels? i cant find it anywhere on their website
I show in this video how to set up different sized labels no listed. As long as you can buy a size, you can set it to print

Does it print color ?
No. It doesn't have ink and uses heat to burn an image into special paper
You can feed the labels from the back while the lid is closed, and it will auto adjust so that it wastes zero labels.
Thank you 🧡 I discovered this sometime after getting the machine. It's a shame they don't advise this in their booklet. I have shown how I now load the printer in other videos
Thank you so much for the vid, I was going crazy (for a couple of hours) trying to figure out why my new UPS shipping labels were printing so many blanks. Turns out all I needed to do was calibrate it and I learned that from your video.
I'm so pleased it helped. If you ever find the calibration doesn't work to stop the blanks, physically measure the labels to make sure the size is right. I had some new shipping labels and they were 1mm short than started and it kept skipping labels. Once I entered the correct size, it all worked
Thank you for this video. Ive been struggling quite a bit to get a thermal printer that can print any brand of stickers. Do you perhaps know of any other thermal printer or printers that do the same please?
I've found that any thermal printer that loads paper from the back of the machine and does not have an enclosed cavity for a label roll will print any brand. Avoid Brother and dynamo. Some zebras will allow printing on any label but you have to buy the right size core label
Can I ask what software you were using to create the custom labels or is this included with the printer, thank you
The printer does not come with software. I've done another video showing how you can use canva or something like Adobe Illustrator to create labels. I have left links to these videos in this video

I cant seem to print anything on labels .comes out blank ..
Maybe a silly question, but are you using thermal labels? If so, you may need to contact Munbyn in case it's a warranty issue

Can you use round stickers with this printer?
Yes, you can use any shape. In the original videos, I show the round labels I was sent

Are there any other thermal printers that can use any labels plz?
There are quite a few. Google Thermal printers and lots will come up
I've been using phomemo. Pm246s is their regular shipping printer that uses usb and pm241bt is their Bluetooth that u can print from your phone wirelessly but still need usb for laptops

Hi again . Ok first thank you again for your reply I did go back and watch the whole video. I then ordered a munbyn . I’m now watching your set up video. Yesterday was a crazy day for me . I was very anxious about the last few steps feeling overwhelmed and like everything might fail . Your reply actually helped to slow my thoughts and let me get focused again .

@@sandramontague4053 Like everything we do for the first time, it can be daunting. Just take it one step at a time and it will come together. The printer is really simple and you are not going to wreck it. The worst that can happen is putting the wrong size label or measurements and wasting a couple of labels. When you get it, read through the booklet first, then start following step by step and you will have it set up in no time and creating your own labels.
