the concept of this printer is nice. Where it fails is the software. The first one bricked itself trying to update so with the other two i don't bother trying to update it. I don't know if "not" updating it makes it harder for my computer to find. My computer constantly thinks it is offline and I have to delete it off my computer and refind it when I want to print something. I can see why this model is getting cheaper over time.

What can I do if I on mistake did the initialisation without filling the ink tanks first? Is there a way to redo the ink charging at the beginning of the setup?
yes. but use the photo quality tick box. If your transfer paper is for DARK T-SHIRTS print as MIRROR IMAGE and place and iron on with the grid facing you. For light t-shirt transfer print as ordinary, cut out and peel the backing off then use silicone paper between the t-shirt and the iron to melt it onto the light t-shirt.
I got this printer about 3 years ago and works well. And its very nice not having do buy ink all the time! *But what is really annoying at times is if you change the paper size or type you not only have to change it in the word processor (which is normal) but you have to manually change it on the printer itself (NOT NORMAL).* Thus the software for this printer is not up to par as it should be. I been waiting for a stupid update to fix it! Since I complained about to Epson 3 years ago, when I first got it! *So if you have to change paper size or types of paper often ... I HIGHLY do recommend this printer!*

I like how they trick you into thinking the screen is big by using a HUGE black border. A GameBoy screen is bigger than that.
Epson does make the claim that this system will save you money on ink. Which I honestly can get behind because the costs is so much lower, in my opinion Epson claims might be a bit exaggerated. However, you should get more usage out of the bottled ink vs cartridges over along period of time. The question is exactly how much are the actual savings in total. At the end of the day you still end up saving.
I have tested this model 3 times because my family is dumb and buy anything on sale. I hate it. The original I sent back and the new one they sent and the extra one my family bought has all been a heartache.

Worst printer I have ever had. Nothing more than problem after problem, especially freezing the printer completely saying 'time to reset ink levels' when there is plenty of ink. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy, it will drive you nuts!

one thing most printer reviews forget to mention or show is the paper tray. Curious to know if it'll print post cars or different sizes of paper

why do you not just use the original ink it just £35 for the 4 inks that's around £8.50 per bottle for around 2 years depending on what you print.
