- Why I keep Koi, the painful truth 🤕🐠
Bit on edge about this one to be honest 😬 But it's what got me into the Koi keeping hobby and why i love it so much, there are loads of positives out a huge unnegotiable negative.
I'm sorry if you have been through something similar to us having a stillborn daughter, thats why it's in the title and description so people can opt out if need be. I am and we are "ok" we recovered, there is no need to feel sorry for us or me, it's life. And life can be cruel at times, very f***ing cruel. I share this to be honest and hopefully help inspire someone somewhere towards recovery.
Please, please, please comment with nice comments, I really need your support. Bad ones will be deleted. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. I really hope this can help anyone experiencing any form of mental health issues or painful circumstances to understand YOU CAN GET THROUGH IT! You can get back to smiling without the feeling of guilt and your not alone. I try to keep this video as upbeat as possible.
There are lots of positives that this experience brought to my life, but I'd give anything to change it but I can't. The koi came into our life and really helped our recovery. Mental health really does matter and when we went trough our darkest times the koi brought the colour back into our lives.
My life is amazing, I love it and Im amazingly lucky to have what I have. A wife & 2 incredible sons have been born since this, I'm a better dad for the pain we experienced (or should I say I try to be).
PS I absolutely love Warrington Hospital and all their staff especially in the maternity ward.

This is a great video Johnny! I feel the same way about koi. However at the minute, I’m having a bit of parasite problem in 2 of my ponds. I’ve lost 2 koi in the last 2 days, and I believe a 3rd will be any day now. I just can’t seem to get ahead of the fluke and ich. I’ve been treating them for over 2 months, back and forth between treatments. But I keep going even when I feel like giving up because the koi need me. Keep up the videos😊 Thank You

Sorry to hear aboit your child. We ourselfs lost 4 before we had our son. We was both on the brink of giving up. Thankfully we got what we deserved only due to getting full blood tests etc we was able to work out how to keep full term. Due to our blood types there was some wierd anitibody confliction where the baby would act lile a foreign body.. with some special periodic injections we was able to see the full term for our son. Still hurts me when i remeber what we lost 4 pure souls. I mever did alow my self to gice them names. As it would have brought forth so much more suffering . I personaly know how you feel and i hope you eventualy find closure with whst happend. That smile you still have never loose it. Power to you and your family!
