They didn’t pick Gallup over Amari…they picked Ceedee over Amari. Hear me out…like you say, they pick their dudes 1st. And Jerry made Ceedee take 88 when they were entertaining the idea of bringing Dez back until Ceedee fell in the draft. But since they wanted the new 88 to shine, just like last season when they broke all those records force feeding Ceedee instead of using the vet capable B. Cooks, they couldn’t have Amari as the alpha and obviously better than everyone including Ceedee, plus Amari was too classy to be pushed around or misstep, they need volatile players that they can manipulate and black mail. The only thing they kept saying was he wasn’t a team player cuz he didn’t get an experimental vaccine while people were afraid of the flu. That type of independent, conscious, critical thinking wasn’t what they wanted leading the team. They are happy with getting more manufactured hall of famers over superbowl winners because they will make money either way and players are spokes people or stars that they can use for marketing, superbowl wins are only good for status and we are still in the top status for superbowl wins. They are gonna let Dak run this team into the ground for a whole decade and then they will have the next underdog story to sell hopium.

Amari wasn’t their’s, and so, his success wasn’t theirs to claim. You are blind if you can’t see that Ceedee was living in Amari’s shadow. No one in their right mind is going to pick a 3rd string WR with a season ending injury over a true #1 WR and leader who single handedly saved the season from travesty and who saved Daks career (although Dak is a choke artist)
