So many of the other covers of this song on UA-cam seem really interested in trying to do a really technical match to the way Gaga plays it... which, for a song like this, really doesn't work because it's so naturally chock full of personal expression that you'll just never get trying to match her individual technique (which is, obviously, excellent). That's why I really appreciate the choices and musicianship in your cover, Ulrika... a few little modifications to play it in your own way. Still honoring and being judicious with the material, of course, but in this piece in particular, I think leaving yourself space to express your own personality means your cover rings more true to Gaga's work than some of the ones who've avoided their own interpretations. It's a brave choice, and it pays off here. Really beautifully done.
