Please pray for my wife and I. She's filed for divorce, and does not want to reconcile. I'm currently battling for her spirit, in prayer and in my belief. I have been a prison chaplain for 16 years. I deal with liars and manipulation daily and not just inmates. Staff and managers over time become like inmates or institutionalized if they fail to guard their heart and spiritual life. I have listened to this sermon 4 times in the last few days. Thank you so much for this. I'm in a spiritual battle and this is just what I needed.

2 months ago I was listening to David Jeremiah and he mentioned a wonderful preacher by the name of Tony Evans. I felt prompted to look him up. I since have listened to him everyday, twice a day and in my opinion is right up there with Billy Graham. Thank you Tony for improving my life in Jesus Christ.

Tony Evans-- I have listened to him since the 1990s. He is still a dynamic teacher in the Word. But I must say... this is the BEST lesson on prayer I have heard!! I'd be very embarrassed to admit I feel praying is boring but when Evans finished his hour, I was ready! I know I now have blessings I need to activate the way he instructed. Praises to God for the correct way to communicate with Him!

Ask Him for what you want. Of you want to be closer to Him, ask Him to help you. He certainly won't deny you that - as a matter of fact it's definitely available to you. He's ALREADY provided it to you - you have to make the next step. Start to walk in obedience to Him. If you want to be closer to Him, all you have to do is start to spend time with Him. Read your bible, believe what it says and live according to what it says. I knew that I needed to read my bible more, but was VERY difficult to commit like I should until I heard a prominent pastor say to ask God to help you with such. I prayed and God to help me to learn to love His Word. He honored my prayer, now it's the most important part of Mr day. It's like breathing, I can't get enough of it. God is faithful like that.
