Went to a school right next to Wandsworth Common and i lived on the Wandsworth Rd near to Queenstown Rd about 43 years ago. This video brought back memories. Thanks for posting.
Agreed. Most videos of walking in London concentrate on the tourist hot spots and don’t show the real London. This makes a welcome change for people who don’t know the city beyond the obvious areas.
One of the best of yours and shows in excellant detail one kind of urban environment which will happily be maintained by people who have the resources to get whatever they want . A wealth of buildings with complex designs, well applied decoration and on a human scale .
How beautiful it is!!) The sun through the foliage of trees... Life and Beauty around..) Thank you for the pleasure! Thank you for enjoying it! A smile blooms on my lips when I watch your walks..)🌺from Russia.
Nice walk in these less elegant districts, but very pleasant to discover. I liked finding all the daily life shops, grocery stores, pharmacies that are absent in Greater London. I always wonder where the locals in Trafalgar Square shop for groceries?? (laughs!). This is one of the charms of these less upscale neighborhoods. Natural!!. I loved; thank you WW
Hello Watched Walker. How are you? I watched some of your video whilst on the bike yesterday and still have some remaining footage to view which I will soon. Mum and I are about to head to London Excel for à home show. May park at O2 North Greenwich and take either the Emirates cable car or the underground and DLR across the river rather than drive the Blackwall tunnel. We shall see when we get there. Then back to London Excel for another home show next Saturday after which we drive to NEC Birmingham for two nights for Grand Designs Live. Back to your video I loved the High Street and all the shops and design of buildings and can't wait to view the rest of your video. I did also watch your Greenwich video. Rather fitting that we may be parking nearby today but that will be in North Greenwich by the O2 which itself is an interesting place and very modern. As you can see, I'm fast becoming a Londoner! A Canterbury Londoner! We are actually at London Olympia no less than three times before the new year for various other wonderful trade shows. Plus we will likely make some extra London day trips for Christmas lights and your Christmas videos from past years are a great inspiration, as I'm sure will be the case again this year. Maybe see you at Covent garden or Leicester Square this season! Look out for someone wearing the Canadian flag, plus you have my profile photo. Anyhow take care and speak soon!
@@WatchedWalker Hello WW. Good to hear from you. And by a similar token, if I see a gent filming London for what might be a YT video I may very well ask if they are the one and only Watched Walker! Mind you that might interrupt your video but no doubt you are able to cut and resume at the same location?

I’ve never seen this part covered before. It’s nice to explore new neighbourhoods.

Nice walk 👍
Nice walk
Nice to see some high streets not overgrown with tacky storefronts and graffiti, only a few crap looking internet cafes and mobile phone shops.
Between the commons is family heaven
