Saint Theodore Tyro | Stories of Saints
Saint Theodore Tyro, a Roman soldier, faced martyrdom for his Christian faith in the early 4th century. Refusing to renounce Christianity, he endured severe tortures and was eventually executed.
His steadfastness in the face of persecution made him a symbol of Christian courage. Honored in both the Eastern Orthodox and Western Christian traditions, Saint Theodore Tyro is celebrated for his sacrifice and commitment to his beliefs. His feast day, known as the Feast of St. Theodore Tyro, is observed on February 17 in the Eastern Orthodox Church and on November 9 in the Western Christian liturgical calendar.
