Damnit. Mika Kobayashi is by far the best singer worldwide. How is she controlling her voice that good? And why I feel like I wanna cry every time I hear her songs?! So much emotions that she is transporting with her voice and songs... First time I really noticed her was in guilty crown!
i think aimer deep voice is kinda more unique. of all singer i heard, yeah they're all damn good but aimer voice is so unique that stands out from all of them.
I feel like you prefer mika over them which is totally fine. Everyone's voice/style/ and singing is unique/ different. Its hard to have a favorite for me, I love them all nearly equally. They're all special and great and I think if their english improves, globally, they'd be in radio stations. Japan just has so much different singing talent, I wish US would bring them to do concerts here more.
It's annoying how many people commenting "Aimer's version is better"..this is Mika's performance. I love Aimer too, but I much prefer Mika's strong vocals for more powerful songs like this and Bios. Mika has had so many amazing collaborations with Sawano and I wouldn't want Aimer singing in every one of his songs. Different vocalists bring different energies and tones that suit certain songs better. Mika is a much better live singer as well and Aimer is more breathy/soft. Singers like Mizuki, Tielle, mpi, Mika, Benjamin, Aimee Blackschleger, etc from nzk - all bring different qualities that are different from Aimer. They all sound better on some of Sawano's songs than Aimer, while Aimer is better suited for other songs. What I'm saying is, don't downplay Mika's incredible vocals and energy that she brings on every song.
It's just a preference of style, I thought aimer had a little grittier style for the song which I feel is more suited to the setting of the anime. Either way if you can perform like her live, you are one of the good vocalist s out there.

I hope someday when she choose to take solo carrier, she'll still produce good song that match with her genre. I don't want it become like Yuki Kajiura and Kalafina members. There're so many singers who choose to stand on their own and make their own song lyrics even the music. But not everyone have a smooth jounery, they can become much more shine bright and also the other way around. As I speak, not every single fans is tagged as brainless fan and just love the singer because of their good looks or their good voice and technique. Some even follow the singer bc they like the music instrument, song lyrics, or even just following the composer. So, I hope that Mika and also every single singer can maintain their quality when they still choose to sing on or behind the stage.
