as someone with a loft bed, i feel like there’s a “forever alone top bed” joke in there somewhere 😂😭
i had an awesome loft bed when i was a kid, well until i moved out actually. it had a desk, drawers, and the very bottom drawer fit a single size mattress on the front, then a cubby in the back with a bench to sit on. it was seriously cool, but it was also tall, if i sat up straight i would hit my head on the ceiling. this also caused problems when i had girlfriend over.

Had a bunk bed for awhile so I had the luxury of sleeping on both.
However for some strange reason, I frequently had more nightmares on top bunk and none on bottom bunk, but did fall out once.
Only time I've ever seen a bunk bed was in basic, though no one slept up there, too swingy and you get woken up at random times and have to be ready so top bunks are a nightmare.
