About Royal Blood
Brighton duo Royal Blood comprising drummer Ben Thatcher and bassist/vocalist Mike Kerr formed at the beginning of 2013. They quickly made their presence known, with pounding drums and heavily distorted bass guitar defining characteristics of their ferocious blues-rock sound. The band gained many plaudits early in their career, touring with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop and Foo Fighters, before going on to win Best British Group at the Brits in 2015 receiving their trophy from their musical hero and admirer Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Their catalogue boasts the Mercury Prize nominated self-titled debut album released in 2014 that spawned hits such as "Out of the Black, "Little Monster:, "Come On Over" and "Figure it Out", as well as their second successive UK number one album "How Did We Get So Dark?" released in 2017 which featured "Lights Out" and "I Only Lie When I Love You".

The perfect end to a perfect album.
SUCH a beautiful song, I did not expect this when I first listened to the album.
I only found out that I had lost a dear sweet friend to cancer a few days ago. I loved her so much, and I have been crying all night long. I want her back. I feel like I need her back. But it can't be. I dedicate my love for this song to Vickie, and to me it will always be my song for her.
The simplicity of the video makes it beautiful. Dreamy Haunting. Liam Lynch and Royal Blood have struck gold again. Cheers.

This is certainly a visual I wasn’t expecting, I’d like to understand it better.. I believe this song is the perfect way to end the album and transitions perfectly back into itself. I hear some Pink Floyd inspiration and the piano is the perfect accoutrement to this album. The words pulls at my heartstrings and it is my favorite song of the entire year. Looking forward to hearing more somber songs.. 💜✨

I take it to mean that the crosses are graves, the upside down woman has died and the man digs his own grave to join her. I like that the visual style is something simple to contemplate over, rather than imposing a storyline.

Okay, I have to take a moment to tip my hat to Liam Lynch, this is fabulous.
The subtle nods to the lyrics:
"nothing lasts forever" and the title slowly fades
"cos you got me and I got you" and we meet the other side and the girl
The fact you never see either the boy or the girls face, so it could be anyone, or everyone
and then the kicker, the footprints, originally I thought it was a missed opportunity for some pretty imagery to have them follow, catch up and pass him, where he's walking, my thick as a plank of wood take xD What I didn't get until now: They're her footsteps. The imprints are the colour of the 'other side' she's walking with him all the time.
I can't thank you enough for just how beautifully this is expressed and how open the video is to interpretation and how well it shows instead of telling, let's the music be front and centre whilst being stimulating and thoughtful. Thank you RB, Thank you Liam

The new album is a heavy step away from rock, I hope the next album is able to have heavy stuff as well as the new stuff because I do like the new material, it just gets monotonous style wise and it would have been so much better if typhoons was a mix rather than a complete shift.

100% agree. nothing but thieves are really good at mixing up their musical styles and it keeps it interesting. i actually prefer this song to most of the rest of the album just because of the big risk maybe i don’t know. like how blur would experiment where oasis kept to one specific genre.
