Nice.
Wow. Whoever uploaded this, many thanks. And it needs to be said: Matt Piucci, what a brilliant but unsung guitarist. As a guitarist myself, a personal inspiration.
Is he the guitarist on the right (slide) or the left doing the lion's share of vocals?
@@deathmetaldouglas69 Yeah,he's the main singer/ guy on the left with the dark hair and the sleeveless t-shirt.
I remember seeing the Rain Parade in 1985 or 6-ish as a quartet and being impressed by the fact that the woozy detuned drone of "No Easy Way Down" was just Piucci with the Bigsby on his Gretsch.
So glad this was recorded for posterity, and shared here. Incredible.
Wow, thanks!! Maybe my best internet find yet!! Must have listened to their EP a million times!!
Very rare and I'm so glad to see this.
But the song names are wrong in the description.
Good times coming back, thank you so much. Saw them in my hometown Oslo back in the mid-eighties and it was a great show . This is as close I can get to a time machine and re-live that night, bless you.
This is a beyond cool slice of history. Thanks for sharing this!!!

Closeup on the bassist during the slide guitar solo on "Nightshade". Clearly not a musician behind the camera. At least the sound is great considering they were recording for a live album.
If you can find a record named "Beyond the Sunset" presented by Rain Parade, you're going to find a brilliant play based on this live but more done.
DomoArigato!! Live in Japan. Paisley Underground Forever !!
Songs are all wrong but amazing. A favorite band. Would still love to know their fuzzes.
Dream Syndicate track list
