- Meet a community that does things differently. Christelle Enquist and Jorge Delgado-Ureña are documentary photographers and co-founders of The RAW Society, a global community of photographers and a hub dedicated to imaging education.
As photographers and educators, they believe that the photographic image can be a powerful tool for inward and outward change, within the reach of anyone willing to learn the language. Through their workshops (on and offline), weekend conferences, projects, fundraisers, and membership programs, they aim to provide this change, one photograph at a time, together with their growing community.
Getting ready to exhibit their retrospective documentary work in Menorca, they collaborated with us to prepare images for larger prints, ensuring the showcase genuinely reflects their passion for storytelling. The photos are intended to create a lasting impact on the audience and help them connect to people on the other side of the planet.

The Raw Society offers a borderless community for visual storytellers through street, documentary, and travel photography. It’s an important community for me because it provides vast knowledge, creativity, and advice. You can engage online every day and also meet up anywhere in the world with fellow friends who share the same passion.
Capture One has been my preferred imaging software for over five years now, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It provides everything I need effortlessly, without sacrificing any complexity in photo development.

I have been using Capture One for 24 years. Tough to beat. Occasionally try other tools - always come back to C1. The new AI masking is wonderful.

The raw society is an amazing platform and community. Christelle and Jorge are doing an awesome job and doing a workshop with them was delightful. Since I’m part of the society, I just keep thinking about trying to make stories and want to see the results printed. I have to take a leap to switch to Capture One fully. Still testing…

¡Tremendo! Absolutely wonderful to see Jorge and Christelle here, to have their work and The RAW Society highlighted, and that they were approached by Capture One. As a Lightroom user, now I’m really curious about C1. Especially now that I am just starting to properly archive my work, maybe it’s the time to try another software before fully committing. I wonder if there are “switching” promos out there…
Great promo for the Raw Society, but honestly I don’t think good photography is about pushing software (which obviously should be pushed to the best) but about storytelling (as said in the video) is the key. Basically, the processing and software isn’t going to make the story.
Unfortunately only usable if you do some minor contrast & colour adjustments on a single snapshot. Too unreliable and inconsistent if you're doing more extensive edits for exposure blending techniques when you need a perfect and consistent RAW processing tool. The lens correction tool does not work properly (reported a year ago, still not fixed), gradient tools get distorted and do not work properly in conjuction with the keystone tool (reported in 2019, still not fixed), impossible to copy exact crop on a series of exposure brackets, and the workspace feature is still buggy, also reported over a year ago, only to mention some points of inconvenience. People should be aware of what they're getting if they need an application for more serious work. If C1 would be a car, it would have no brakes and no seat belts, but a nice stereo and a shiny paint surface. After years of using it my impression is that fancy features that may appear impressive on social media but have no relevance at all in a RAW processing tool have a much higher priority than the reliability of the software. Oh, and I forgot to mention that you have to pay EUR 300 for a recent ugrade that basically will only give you tha ability to change the crop orientation, a feature that should be included in any RAW processing software from day one...
