DE-DEMONIZING NICOTINE | Ending Fear to Promote Benefits |

- According to harm reduction consultant and developmental neurobiologist Charles Gardner, there's a particular piece of information you are not supposed to talk about, promote nor expect public health to acknowledge. What is it? That nicotine is not carcinogenic and, when consumed outside of a cigarette, is relatively benign. Gardner considers it likely that nicotine is no more harmful than caffeine - and in his opinion, it could have significant health benefits. Gardner believes it's time to 'de-demonize nicotine'. #GFNTVInterviews is powered by Regulator Watch & Global Forum on Nicotine.

Thanks Sir Charles Gardner 🙏
Not sure if anyone here would know the answer to this question: I’ve heard that nicotine ages the skin faster. So, is it the actual nicotine, or the 5,000 other chemicals in cigarettes that age the skin?
Nicotine doesn't age the skin. I was a lifelong smoker - twenty cigarettes a day - unto just over two years ago. I am retired. I have been for several years. I have very few wrinkles; so neither smoking nor nicotine has hardly aged my skin. That sounds like a myth to me.
Looking further into this, the aging effect seems to come from the vasoconstriction of blood vessels that the nicotine causes.
I’ve never smoked a cigarette but for the last year have been chewing Lucy gum and/or sucking on a NicNac, only 6mg/day, to help the neuroplasticity of my brain but had to stop after noticing the change in my skin and effect on my gums and teeth.
Thank you tobacco harm reduction advocates!
Guess how I found thit video 😋 I google "war against nicotine" because literally without even searching for it videos regarding quiting vaping etc appeared in my recommendations and since then I was stranded between carry on or quitting even though I've never thought about it (Yes, Big Addicted Personality here haha). That's why I switched from sugar to stevia for my coffee. Same thing LESS HARM .
After this video it turns out that if the risk of pleasure is minimal then I don't know why we shouldn't indulge in it.
Mr. Garder put it very well in last minutes of the video !
Cigarettes are dangerous..but its not the nicotine..its all the rest of the chemicals ..my friend lights a cigarette and it starts to hiss and small explosive chemicals burning..l am using patches ..just started
It's also the nicotine. The raise in blood pressure alone is dangerous for people who already have hypertension or pre-hypertension
Listen to Tucker Carlson on nicotine. He loves it. It is an antidepressant.
That's it: "We want to have adults learn about nicotine but we don't want to have teens hear about that." What does that tell about adults (working at FDA) ?
Spoiler : They will be outsmarted by smart youth (better sooner than later) .
Thank you, Sirs, both of you should be knighted with a quaudruple stacked mech-mod😉✌
