One bit of tech that I like to use when I'm running auto attack zeratul is to blink away when you need to rotate, its basically free and you get to start off the fight with 2 blinks, I use the might of the nerazim blink to get onto a target and hold my true blink for when I need to reposition onto another target. Usually by the time that happens you've already gotten a kill and your might will be off CD again shortly. I'm not a crazy good zeratul but most people dont expect a zeratul to blink out of nowhere secure a kill, blink to another backliner, get another kill and blink again. Also because you aren't really talenting into basically any abilities you don't gain much benefit from using might for extra damage outside of the auto attack buff so why not use it for more mobility/utility
I never comment on UA-cam but I gotta speak up as lvl 100+ Zeratul. 1) Never take darkness descents. - it gives a loud audio cue for the enemy team - it forces you to commit, if you want to get value - you will get oblitarated by competent opponents 2) Warp Skirmisher is autoloss above gold. You need the wormhole to stay elusive with aa build. Seeker has no synergy either for aa build. For anyone that wants to learn Zeratul, you should watch the guide of Kure and/or FlyestRaven. They talk about the builds and when to pick which
That feels like drafting into your counters. So what if DD gives an audio queue if your 1vs1 or on top of valla? They die regardless. Same for Warp Skirmisher, you dont keep warping into a 5 man unless you want to die. 🤷♀
@@SttravagaNZza The issue is that with warp skirmisher you have to use e to get in, so unless you dont use any other ability you have no way out until e comes back up. This will often take to long and you will just die in a team fight with players who peel their backline. Zeratul is very squishy without his mobility to go in and out consistently fast. That is why going e talent at 7 isnt always good anymore with the delay on its return, if you cant dodge the cc you just die. Going this vorpal build is just for stomping low elo where people are constantly out of position, without any backup. Hence i much prefer taking the w talent at lvl 7, can go in and out instantly if needed, only downfall is that if you miss you become nearly useless for a bit.
Thank you for this video. I know I need to be impactful but I got nervous in my Gold/Platinum games so I ended up staying with the team most of the time.
Hey paradox im watching your hots content about a year or something and i really like your attitudes about a game isnt just a game pressing some buttons.its more complexer than that...its about mind games about psycho..i was really surprised you know sun tzu.so there is a quote from the hagakure it fits totally in a assasin guide.its says.....according to what one of the elder said, taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird.even though it enters into the midst of a thousand of them,it gives no attention to any bird other than one it first marked.
I like the warp skirmisher build but engaging i difficult with it. Do you have to all in each time or cast blink a few seconds before to get MOTN blink for the engage or you just walk up to them?
No way darkness descends is better usually than psionic strength, if people know how to hit a zeratul, you wont get many auto attacks out anyways. Warp skirmisher is not reliable, since you don't have escape or engage. If enemy team knows what they are doing they will killl you fast.
My dude respectfully I completely disagree with the replay advice and your idea how zeratul should be played. The game was lost because zeratul could not get in to harass the backline properly. There was 0 pressure on the enemy team so they did whatever they wanted without getting punished. For this as zeratul, you are required to have the level 7 wormhole talent. It is absolutely mandatory as it allows you to go in without dying. Your build might be more dps on a dummy target, but you will always get jumped on. One blind from johanna and it's game over. Wormhole allows you to avoid being punished for going in, especially when you combine it with might of the narazim for a double blink. If you look at the replay, zeratul was trying everything to soak lanes, yet the entire enemy team was chasing him around, baiting fights and preventing him to do so. Every lost fight was a 3v5 or 4v5 skirmish. You cannot drop a keep at 4 minutes trying to soak lanes as that way they take control of the entire map afterwards. You have to take trades in xp by fighting to trade for kills, or prolong the fight in such a way that some other lane pusher can take towers and such, without taking casualties. This didnt happen so gg.
Please disclose your rank and how many games of zeratul you've played. Also, go watch the how to be impactful video done by NotParadox. NotParadox's advice is more general. Also he has more tricks in his bag. I can take the laning and impactful thing and apply it to other heroes. I think Zeratul is your main and as such you know more "tricks" on how to play zera well, but NotParadox is teaching us to be more tactful. Essentially he's giving us another tool to fight the enemy whereas you are talking about polishing an existing tool. Both has its merits. However, I think most players are way worst at being tactful and impactful than being skilled at a hero.
@@sheeplvl1 I've stopped playing ranked and dropped to D5. I'm also not a zeratul main. I've probably played around 100 games with the guy. I am not a zeratul wizard by any means but this vid doesnt make any common sense to me whatsoever, like advising to go and build pyro even though youre playing against medivh. Pally is doing a better job for sure.
i hope everyone who comes here to learn zera reads this cause ngl i couldnt believe what i was seeing. i mean this build does work if youre in lowelo or smurfing but theres a reason the 4 and 7 are barely picked in high level
He literally calls him out on not soaking when he should.... and you literally see xp orbs drop to the ground when he says so. He also calld him out for camps wich his team didnt take any. Couldnt get to the backline and deal damage? at 21:55 Cain sleeps them all and he still has no impact. Enemy team could do w/e they wanted cause they fought level 6 vs 7 ( enemy took bruiser, wich zeratul didnt ) and again enemy took siege camp ( wich zeratul couldve taken earlier ) at 10 and they fought at 8 ( missing xp? ). Since then it was just an uncontested snowball.
@@SttravagaNZza It is not that he is not soaking. He is trying to soak, but because the enemy team wants to dominate, they are chasing him around and bullying him out of anything he wants to do. You cannot just split up and take camps at this point because your team will get divided and you'd be losing 1 and a half keep and 2 deaths for 1 siege camp. It would always be a downtrade. Always. Maybe except if youre playing zul and kamizaze into the enemy keep afterwards. Yes he might have dropped a couple xp points, but that is not the point. You have to be able to stand your ground against the enemy team and bring it to a stalemate, at least. Because the guy didnt go wormhole, he couldnt. Only when the entire fucking enemy team was asleep in your example, he was able to harass. And if I had wormhole there, I would have actually been able to go in for 2 comboes instead of 1 and get out safely.
I love these little tips that most people wouldn't notice on there own (like me) I'm mostly a healer main but have been playing on gucci-mane a bit more and murky. I feel like I can get in some good lane etiquette between those two.

I like that big brain move! If I ever get back to playing Zera I hope to remember this tip!
it was supposed to be our secret man! jkjk 😂😂
@@AristoKan I may or may not have borrowed this secret from a zeratul main off reddit 😅

That’s the point of the build, so don’t feel bad
Arguably the most slippery hero in all of HOTS

at this rank, don't worry so much about team comps, just be good with your heroes and that usually enough to win
Perhaps put face cam somewhere else because it blocks talent description
Just because of Vorpal blade Zeratul could use Minato skin from Naruto.
