Hello! thanks for your lessons. I have a doubt regarding the corrected sentece of the "at long last,..." exercise. I would like to know if the corrected sentence would be, for instance, "at long last, John, the Chairman..." or "at long last John, the Chairman..."? thanks in advance for your help!
Asalam alykom Mr.shadi thank you for these lessons , i have a question ..you gave an example, ( the labour day ) is a subject , but in the example before it you said (last semester ) is not subject .what is the difference between these two sentences while the both followed by comas ? how can we differentiate between subject and non subject sentences when they followed by comas ?
the difference is so clear here simply because the labour day = May 1 they are the same meaning and may 1 is more information Obama,the current American president, is black. whereas last summer # a friend

Example 1 is wrong because you mentioned that if the appostive come first there will be only one comma,
