- It's been four years, yet I still think Wang Jung is the saddest character in the Kdrama world. He's the original Kdrama Heather :'(

He was the one that truly loved her. He understood her, never forced his love to her and truly respected her and her feelings that's what true love is. That's why she chose him at the end.
Pretty much the case was Hae Soo has no other choice and Jung promised him to travel outside, the only opportunity she could have to leave the palace, that why she chose him. It could be Baek Ah if he wasn't a servant of the king and weren't mourning for his dead lover, it could be Eun if the general's daughter didn't came back to marry him, it could still be Wook if he didn't have his priorities.
That's why it makes me sick that she loved that idiot So

She died in the arms of someone who loved her unconditionally and with his whole heart. Even though she didn't love him like *that*, I think that meant a whole lot more than if she'd died in So's arms with all of the pain in their history. I still ship her with So massively, I just ship her and Jung in a different way. It would've been so much healthier :(
He promised her that he will save her life with his ... He kept that promise
I never get tried of this drama, I'm emotional right now. The fact that Jung accepted Hae Soo with all his heart even though he knows that Hae Soo is in love with Wang Soo his brother. I also love Hae Soo's dignity and patience here! The visual in this dram screams too. Thank you for this!
She gave him the biggest gift: a daughter, instead of Wang Soo, who was left with nothing but pain.

@@tannisthamukharjee8941 pretty sure it's the fact that she trusted Jung more to leave her daughter with him. It's the trust she had in him. Shoot, I'm here messed up with all these feelings for all of the characters. I ship Wang and hae....but half of me loved how Jung loved her and waited for her

Everyone had their own priorities..
But jung had love which gave her freedom.
