I will be going soon, I got such a great price and can’t believe it’s a 5 star all inclusive! This will be my first vacation with my boyfriend we have both been working the frontlines of the pandemic here in NYC and truly deserve a break! ❤️
Travelled many times to the Yucatan peninsula and stayed at some amazing hotels, but Bahia Principe has to be the most beautiful amazing hotel I've ever had the pleasure to stay at.Travelling from Amsterdam and after a long journey what a great wake you up when you enter the lobby at the Bahia Principe luxury akumel, they seem to have updated there hotels since the pandemic began .Wow it was amazing before I can't wait to see how it looks now .
I honestly don't know what the prices are in Canada. Just make sure to check out all the websites like hotels.com etc, and go to their website directly as well. Best of luck, and have fun. Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
@@TheAbundantTraveler hello! It was amazing! The lobby was really cool and had the same Mayan feel as Akumal. We were able to choose 3 out of the 4 a la carte restaurants in addition to a buffet, food truck, and burger stand. We ate at the Brazilian restaurant, the Mexican restaurant, and the Hindu restaurant. We also had a beach front massage. The cool thing is that if you stay at Akumal or Sian Kaan, you can also access Tulum and Coba.
Love your videos, I have liked and subscribed. How do you go about booking your room prior to arrival. We don't have the adults only section but know the apartment block we would like. Any advice would be appreciated 😊
I suggest booking your dinners at the restaurant, the first day you arrive, and bring some cash with you as the ATMs have high fees. Have a wonderful time. Thanks for watching the video.
What’s the age for the adult area as my daughter is still classed as a child but adult on the plane she will be 16 when there but acts more like an adult
Do you have any suggestions on what building to stay in? As well how to go about getting that building? We are traveling as a family of 4 , thank you so much for your video
If you have kids, I suggest staying near the lobby, main pool and near the buffet. Here is the map www.bahia-principe.com/en/resorts-in-riviera-maya/resort-akumal/ Have fun!
The video and your personality make for an excellent presentation of this resort, you give lots of very helpful advice and on one of your prior videos, you got me closer than ever to book a stay in Tulum. I am personally extremely apprehensive about visiting that far south so my recommendation is still Hacienda Encantada Resort in Cabo (A room that has a full kitchen and ocean views) great job and like always, safe and happy travels :)
Yes there are different beaches. There is an adult only beach, but the rest of the resort is welcome to kids. Thanks so much for watching him play subscribe if you haven’t already.
It seems like beaches in Tulum and nearby are a little worse than in Cancun. The water doesn’t seem so blue and looks like it has more seaweed. Is it true?
How far is the regular Bahia Principle from the luxury one! Is the luxury one worth the money if just two older adults are going? Is the food in the restaurants good? Any seaweed issues? Thank you!
Thank you.... i love your video. Very interesting.. i planning to go on September 4 2021. That par that i don't understand is the transportation from the airport to the hotel. William from Montreal canada.
I was there in 2020, so there wasn’t any night life. That being said, there is a big disco on property. Have a great time! Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
I have a question I will be staying here in September do you have any recommendations for excursions like atv or cave tubbing? Also is there a closer all inclusive resort near the city you would recommend besides this one I have been contemplating on changing my reservation to another resort I just do not know which one
Hey great video. I’m in the process of booking at that resort. The Happy Tour link is somewhat confusing cause it doesn’t allow you to enter what time for you to get picked up. It just says 12AM. Have any other recommendations for shuttle places?
Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to add those to the next video. The food here was an 8 of 10 for all inclusive food. The waves were very calm, and easy swimming. Beach was beautiful and white, and had several turtle nests.
I really enjoy your videos. Have you ever tried taking a collectivo for cheaper transportation? I got around that area for no more than 40 pesos a ride.
I am going in June. Please let me know if there is any must/skips on excursions. And the restaurants that are a must. I plan to propose on my last night
I like princepe resorts .always book the most expense property on the grounds. .you get better restaurants and liquor .. I always tip in dollars because employees prefer it..
Ok. It looked like a door was interconnecting to your room. I am traveling with 3 children and they made us book 2 rooms so we need that I will check w them. Thanks
I didn't see any iguanas ..there are a few lizzards but they run away if u get too close..if u don't like racoons dont go..they aren't shy and will steal your food if given a chance
Sure I'll step on some toes here but had to commend you on NOT droning on and on about covid precautions. We've been here for well over a year. We know! So many videos would be cut in half if they removed the needless rhetoric about covid. You need to go check Tulum section out now that remodel is finished

I stayed at GBP Tulum earlier this month and I loved it! I want to go back to Akumal for my honeymoon next year.

Hello, love your video! Very informative. I was wondering what your room number was ? I wish you would have shown your view from the balcony. Thanks
I don’t remember the room number, but I was on the first floor in my view was the garden.
Are the lacarte restaurants in bahia principe grand coba only to go for dinner time or for lunch aswell.
I found the à la cart restaurants open at night only. Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
Hi, What time do the pools and disco close?
I honestly don’t know, but their website might give you the information. You can check in the description below for a link.

I think it was 18. Best to directly check with the hotel.
You can walk over to the road outside the resort and take a Collectivo in each direction. Cheap and safe.
Great tip!
Going to Akumal this summer. Shuttle/car service recommendations?
tidd.ly/1e60f896. Try happy shuttle
Hey Kim, it looked like you had a interconnecting room/door in your room stay. Do they have these types of rooms there?
I believe so.
Did the sofa in your room turn into a bed as well?
Yes it did. Thanks for watching the video. Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
How far apart are the 3 other resorts you have access too. Do you need to take a shuttle or can you walk between resorts?
There is a shuttle to take you between the different resorts.

Are all of the restaurants included in the all inclusive? Or are only a few free?
I think all the restaurants but one was included. The high-end restaurant was extra if I remember correctly. Thank you so much for watching
Is the golf course across the main road open again?
I’m not sure….
That's ok I'll find out this week thxs
It seems like beaches in Tulum and nearby are a little worse than in Cancun. The water doesn’t seem so blue and looks like it has more seaweed. Is it true?
I found the water calmer in Tulum then in Cancun. Both places are stunning though. They just have a very different vibe.
Great video review!! This is one of my favourite resorts!!...Viv
It's a great resort!
How far is the regular Bahia Principle from the luxury one! Is the luxury one worth the money if just two older adults are going? Is the food in the restaurants good? Any seaweed issues? Thank you!
I thought all of the restaurants were good for an all inclusive, and the different resorts were only a train ride away.
Thank you.... i love your video. Very interesting.. i planning to go on September 4 2021. That par that i don't understand is the transportation from the airport to the hotel. William from Montreal canada.

Thanks, for the info..
Thanks for watching.
Question. Will the resort arrange a rental for you, for just a day or two. ?
I’m not sure I understand the question. A rental for what?
Great video. We're going to Siian Kaan in a couple of weeks. Have you tried Hotel Xcaret? It's a top notch hotel that includes all excursions too.
I haven’t yet, but I’d like to go.
Planning on going there in Jan 2020,do they stock the mini fridge with beers also? And also is room service included or is it extra cost?
Room service was included and the mini bar was stocked. Have a blast, and make sure to subscribe.
How is the night life. I'm coming in Dec. to celebrate my birthday

I have taken the ADO, but prefer private transportation these days.
Hi Kim! Great video. We are staying at this resort next month. When was your stay? I didn't see anyone wearing masks.
I was there in October. Masks were required in common areas.
I am going in June. Please let me know if there is any must/skips on excursions. And the restaurants that are a must. I plan to propose on my last night
Did u have to wear a mask indoors ?
Yes, we wore masks inside
How pricey was the spa?

What are "cover ups" ?
Cover up your swim suit.
