Appreciate the video. The suggested tips did not work for me, but after continued research, I ended up using one of my other devices (MacBook) to delete the contact. I had to go to the Contact App on my MacBook, find the contact I wanted to delete, two-finger clicked on it, then hit "Delete Card," and the next thing you know, the contact was deleted from the Contact App on my MacBook and on my phone. SO that's another solution.

Three possibilities, if its software issue then performing all settings reset will help fixing it bro.
Sometimes tempered glass could cause such issue. If you applied it recently. Else dont remove it.
If its proximity sensor issue, it could have happened due to phone drop mostly.

oh, if its software issue then performing "settings - general - reset - reset all settings" will fix it bro. otherwise should be checked with apple service center once for hardware issues.
