Good stuff teacher. It’s nice to see and hear some common sense in teaching Spanish when without it, lessons can be dry and confusing. Thanks for clearing things up. I subscribed to work on my verb conjunctions and started with one other video before this one. Two times is a charm 😁 even though I sub”d after the first video ❤

Thanks for another helpful video. In your last example why is it just “unas casas están…” and not “hay unas casas están….” ?

Glad you enjoyed it! 'Hay unas casas están' would be redundant/not grammatically correct.
"Unas casas están.." = some houses are...
"hay unas casas.." = there are some houses..
"hay unas casas están.." = there are some houses are...
You could however say, "Hay unas casas QUE están..." (there are some houses that are...)
Let me know if that helps clear it up, happy to elaborate

@@BreakthroughSpanish Cool, thanks for the explanation. I understand now. One of the hard things about learning Spanish is getting your head around the different way sentences are structured 🤔

@@andykeith2051 definitely. Main thing is to be patient with yourself and look up confusing things as they arise (rather than all at once or "in order").

“están” incluyes there are; está=to be so “están” is saying there, and it’s plural so it is also saying are. I hope that makes sense, if not maybe someone else has a better way to put it. ❤

Yes, both “hay” and “están” include there; so you would be saying there twice. ❤
