It’s always interesting how you and I could’ve been in the same location and had what appear to be such different experiences. Not that one is better than the other, but just different. I enjoyed your experience and commentary!
@@sally_forth it's all about perspective so no two people will ever have the same experience. I look forward to seeing your video on the memorial. I don't think you've posted that one yet... Unless I missed it??
The reason for this memorial is tragic but it’s a lovely spot. My husband did three tours as a Green Beret. It meant a lot to him to stroll through this place.
@@susansmith2969 I thank him for his service and I thank you for being his supportive wife! This is a very well thought out and well planned memorial. Very touching.
Just a common soldier "He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast, And he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past. Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done, In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one. And tho' sometimes, to his neighbors, his tales became a joke,"
Good evening from Syracuse NY

@@iamg000 thank you for sharing. The life of a surviving war soldier is not an easy one.
