Good analysis guys, you're dead right that it's so offensive to make a Saint of this villain. The trans community & Mexicans are most affected by these negative depictions & generally they've greatly criticized this travesty.
This insult of a movie is a literal joke, dumb, racist, without any logic. If the director has said that it was a parody and a cartoon about his wilders dreams and just wanted to put a trans to “make history” it would’ve made so much sense
It is interesting how when the film was only in cinemas it was well received and not until later did all of this other stuff came out, we took it as a campy send-up, not a serious film at all, and certainly not representative of anything, almost like a Rocky Horror, we knew nothing about it when we went to go see it. This has got to be a social experiment or something bc how is this winning awards other than razzies🤣
It's really bad. I think I've seen enough.
This movie sucks soooo bad...13 nominations? What a joke
13...13...13333 OSCARS NOMINATIONS. JUST SAYING
Good analysis guys, you're dead right that it's so offensive to make a Saint of this villain. The trans community & Mexicans are most affected by these negative depictions & generally they've greatly criticized this travesty.
Thanks!🙏
I'm angry at this movie as a brown Spanish speaking person and a musical lover.
You'd be surprised, a lot of people love it!
@@badmoviedate u seen the president? nothing surprises me anymore
It was just a shit show.
If CaseOh sang Emilia Perez:

Qué horror tan horrible, 🤣🤣🤣
and spanish? what spanish? this is embarissing and painful!
This movie at minimum took a huge swing at being great. If you’re willing to enjoy the musical ride and view it in a satirical way then it’s a fantastic movie. Everyone seems to be generically offended by it. Todays movie goers need all their own personal boxes checked or they lose their minds.
So, if you enjoy it ironically, it's a good waste of time?
I recomend watching this: Johanne Sacreblu es un cortometraje mexicano que se creó como respuesta a la película Emilia Pérez. El cortometraje es una sátira que se hizo viral en TikTok.
Might have to! You're certainly not the first to recommend it.
We made a short trans comedy a few years ago. No musical numbers though. But no Golden Globes or Oscar nominations either.

I'll check it out!
