First, there are a lot of underrated and unheralded women in women's basketball. I was hoping the WNBA could do more with Candace Parker and Brittany Griner. But sadly it fell a little short. And there are lots of more women players developing around the world. But JuJu Watkins and Toby Fournier are just a couple of years having the potential of readjusting the women's sports world. I wish the best of luck to all because the game and players are too highly underrated in the US.

Really? I watched a lot this year and was surprised at how bad the play is. I don't think there are more than a half dozen or so decent players in WNBA. Most players lack fundamental skills like layups and catching the ball.
I hope the level of play increases in the coming years.

@@rebauer2000 Really? Women are more fundamentally sound than men because nature forces them to play below the rim. I don't know how long you have been watching but I have women's basketball since around 1995. And it appears I likely have advanced knowledge of the sport than you having a birth date in the 1960's and been a fan of men's basketball and seen greats like David Thompson, Julius Erving, Moses Malone and Karl Malone play. Ever hear of Ann Meyers, who was offered a tryout with the Indiana Pacers and did briefly make the team roster? Likely not. You are not experienced to the game and how women play so you are likely comparing them to the men's game. And that is like comparing Formula one racing to NASCAR racing and liking one better and saying the other is garbage. You learn to appreciate the two different versions for their own merits and not try to equalize both as the same. Good luck on the learning process.

@@rebauer2000 It has become a habit in the WNBA to call mid to average levels of Play, "Excellent, Elite, and even Legendary, when it is Anything But that. A little More Honesty, and Less Activism, while focusing exclusively on Real High Quality Basketball, for a few seasons, would solve a lot of The WNBA's Problems, and they gotta Actually PLAY the Rookies/Draftees, not use them for Bench Decoration, and Cut the lower picks without giving them any Measurable Court Time, Needs To Stop

@@rebauer2000 That's all it takes to see, Even if you're not a 30 year veteran of watching the WNBA, that there is Massive Room For Improvement. I submit that the next few seasons will determine whether the WNBA will Adjust, Improve and Survive, or be Displaced by another, More Basketball Centric Women's League, to take them to the next and more Profitable level. Women's basketball will never be a "Dunk Fest" like the NBA has become, and that is a very good thing. Their game will always be more of a game of Fundamentals and Ball Handling, with good & a few Excellent Shooters. That's why I've watched Lady Ballers since my Sister played 5X5 starting in the Mid 1950s. The NBA Holds me in no thrall, just simply because a 7 ft man can Dunk, time after time.. Not criticizing them, it' just doesn't interest me, but I can appreciate their Athleticism. The technique that Women's Basketball displays, when it's done right, by real Ballers is something I never get tired of watching, and for the past 3-4-5 years I've been able to consistently watch both NCAA & WNBA games, I far more enjoy the NCAA Women's level of enthusiasm and for the most part excellent technique than I do the level of play exhibited by the , Self Proclaimed "Legends" of the WNBA. If the WNBA is to survive, drastic changes, from Top To Bottom, are going to have to be made, and in short order, or it will be Replaced. Replaced because the interest and attendance in jut the last season has Proven that Women's Basketball CAN be A Real Money Maker, but only for the Organization that realizes and capitalizes upon the new interest, not Fights any and all changes, unless it is a change that the "Old Guard" wants and approves of.

3X3 Fullcourt is a game that was played a lot by HBCU in the 60's. Coach John B. McLendon created a unique version for positional development and conditioning. You have to be in on every play on both ends of the floor. They will enjoy it. It's a whole lot of huffing and puffing, for sure.

Phee is Very Pretty, Bright and extremely Poised and Articulate, making some very good points, but the whole league needs to Get Past that whole "We've Always Been An Elite Level Professional League, people just didn't know it" Nonsensical Talking Points. The reason very few knew, or Cared Anything about the WNBA was that the games were Boring, with Mid Levels Of Play and Players, but with a Few, and I mean only a Few Notable Exceptions. Jordan All By Himself would have done Nothing without the other Bulls, and most importantly Opposing Teams and Players that were good enough to make the success of the NBA almost "A Given". Jordan et al, were able to shine, largely due to their own talent, but also because of their Opposition. "The Piston Bad Boys" even with their, often, Despicable Behavior, Helped the Bulls and The NBA, Greatly, for those 3 or so seasons, creating "Must See TV, but "Bully Ball" is only Interesting to watch, for just so long, before in Interest and Audiences Fade.
No Sports League can fill Stadium seats with Paying Customers, Game After Game, by simply Demanding they agree with you about "Just How Wonderful and Legendary, Every Single Player in "The W(Sorry, but, that's a dumb sobriquet. Imagine calling the NBA, "The N"?) is, with No Exceptions......"So Go to the games and Enjoy Everything, Dammit!" isn't ever gonna fill seats. Really talented players like Phee, That little White Girl From Iowa, Erike, Kelsey, Rickea, Cameron, and others, "Balling Out" is the Only Thing That Will Ever fill the seats consistently, while bringing the Ad Deals, Merch Sales, and other Funds to enable the league to pay their Best Players "Real Money", and the "just Good Players", something more than Peanuts, meaning they gotta go Overseas to make a Living......Unrivaled "MAY" help, but it reeks of a "Gimmick" Game, making a lot of us very Skeptical of it being successful, and existing past a couple of seasons, If That. If Unrivaled can continue, past the first few games, to put Rear Ends in front of their TV's & Whatever other Viewing Devices they use, to see the games, after the "Curiosity Phase" is over, and we all know that, Filling an 800 seat venue, in Miami. can't make Unrivaled a Success. There must be a Large And Growing Viewing Audience for them to make it as a viable Sports league. I wish them well, but time will tell the tale of Survival, or Failure for Unrivaled.

....visibility all thanks to Clark! Top players in the world? 🤔🤔🤔 Reese isn't in top 100 in the world! She's riding the coat tail of Clark who, unwittingly, gave her the visibility she enjoys. It she didn't play Clark in the finals, no one would know who she is. Probably won't be in the wnba at all.

With the league expanding they will need more marquee players. It would be to the advantage of the WNBA to lower the age and eligibility requirements for undergraduate players like JuJu and Hannah Hidalgo and others. Maybe this can be addressed in the new CBA
