Added to my earlier comments it was also my pleasure to be invited to perform with Kevin chad and Jean Stafford at the devonport agricultural show in the early to mid sixties ,and not to mention the after parties which were always a recipie for a sore head ,but wouldn't have missed it for the world ,what a pity we don't have those times anymore ,
Kevin and Ron were my cousins and we spent many a Saturday night in and around Launceston doing pub gigs in the early sixties, but my fondest memory with Kevin was a weekend gig at Dolans hotel on king island in bass strait , a weekend to never forget, god I miss those times ,never to be repeated, so sad
@@PlantLadyEmma hi Emma, unfortunately I don't know the family link, back in the late sixties I was at Tamworth and was having a drink with Kevin Jean and a few others and families became the topic after some time one of the ladies, I think it was Shirley was adamant that the families were definitely related, unfortunately that's where I left it and never bothered to investigate the possibility that it was the case ,a few years later at the king island hotel Kevin introduced me as his long lost cousin, so I just accepted that, although I have no positive proof that it's true, because as I said, I did never do any research myself, hope that helps , cheers Mick

Thanks for this, haven't heard it for years. As kids we listened to country music on 2CA canberra and these songs certainly bring back memories.
