Bears and wolves are pretty scary too. But yeah other players are the scariest, I remember I was in a cabin at night with a fire on and all of a sudden I heard multiple footsteps outside. I was alone and no one said anything, they definitely knew I was around though because of the fire. So I hid behind a door and they opened the door and looked around, somehow they didn't find me. My heart was beating like crazy.
The whole video literally feels like walking on some middle of nowhere forest at 5AM on real life type of shit. The silence, the darkness around in the woods, the sky resembling a 5-6AM kind of light, only hearing your footsteps going through grass and the crickets in the wild adds to the realism. Gave me chills, amazing video.
Nothing will ever compare to this game.. it's truly unique 100% of the time. I've had so many wild situations happen to me. From randomly getting sniped after spending 5 hrs getting geared.. to being a fresh spawn and teaming up with another random new spawn. And you guys some how take out a group of geared players.. surviving by some miracle! I Once went from eating a plumb on the beach.. having a fully geared guy run up and try to rob me for some reason!! Clearly I have nothing.. I dropped my glow stick and he was so about to shoot me. Then all of a sudden a shot goes off and the dude drops at my feet! Another even better geared played about 300 yards away from me, then just waves at me calmly. And strolls away.. craziest game ever
It truly is a unique experience I once spent 4 hours with a group I was with attacking another clan I was full ghillie on a mountain with another guy giving sniper support to the guys breaking the bases doors it was a 3 to 4 hour raid that took days of planning and they where the biggest clan in the server and we managed to wipe them out and took revenge for the ones who where raided by them I truly love this game and people should play it more
I was expecting you to turn around to a group of players all aiming at you with night vision. Figured they were on the road but just outside your light. Wolves in this game scare the shit out of me as bad as cannibals hunting me.

Try having this same scenario happen to you in real life like I did. Utter darkness, only my flashlight and my .45. Radio communication wasn't working for me. Pack of coyotes was moving in after catching my scent. Have the video to prove it! I never ran so hard in my life.
Lol they should add monsters to this game like wherewolfs and skinwalkers that would be scary hearing a guttural growl in the distance at night and seeing a pair of eyes glowing in the pitch blackness moving around slowly and or hearing all the crickets and wildlife whatever wildlife there is just go completely silent out of nowhere lol man

New player here. I didn't know there was wolves in this game and would wander through the woods for a long amount of time in the dark pretty much thinking I must be fine because there's no way a player could spot me. The first time I heard a wolf howl I freaked out because I could not tell wtf kind of creature would make the first how I heard.
🤣🤣 I wish I could experience all the good things in dayZ as a new player again there's so much to learn yet so fun to do 😅 yea wolf's are nightmare fuel in this game due to there sound and numbers, I hope you do enjoy this game as I and many others do, safe travels survivor 💪
The scariest part about wolves in this game is that turning off your headlamp is a false assurance. It works with players and zombies, but the wolves can see in the dark. So unless you have night vision like this guy, you may as well just leave it switched on.
This just happened to me with a bear. I'm new to the game so I'm still getting used to the map. I was lost trying to get to Tisy. I was somewhere between tisy and the ski resort I believe and it got pitch blackout. I heard a bear far in the distance. I had no light with me I just kept running in the opposite direction of it and the growls went away. Dayz is a horror game
On my experience- hearing wolves means that in couple of minutes you'll see them. I'm still scared by them and the fact that I should open fire at them and reveal my location to nearby players.
The scariest part is that no matter what you do, there is a good chance that your being watched, and the person watching just waiting for the best moment to shoot
its scary when you hear the wolves at night, especially in the woods. If you can run to a clearing it's easy enough to shoot them as they approach but If you don't have NVG, you're gonna get torn apart.
The thing I love about this game. Shit happens, at crazy time's. I remember I walked in a room with, 3 dead body with fair amount of loot, man's got Happy running away with some loot in the woods, and thinking me hittin north will have a higher % to survive. I got scooped by wolfs,
this reminds me of the first time i ever played the game... i was starving to death or bleeding out i cant remember but the screen was all redish like this sort of and i was just in the tree lines heading inland from a town and all i could hear around me was laughing like i was surrounded buy god now's how many of them but i coundnt spot no one then all of a sudden 'still dre'' starts playing out of nowhere im 31/generally not frighten buy much i that shit freaked me the fook out hey my guy died not long after the beat dropped but i was in a panic i tell,with all the creepy laughting and being alone in the woods with red vison then notes of still dre out of nowhere got me good i tell ya and that was my first time ever playing online and i havent stoped since lol

I had this happen while I was freezing, luckily, i was about 100m from a shed i had just ran past. I floored it back and tried to build a fire with sticks in the doorway, and before I could get my matches out, the wolves were closing in. At that point I just closed the door and stayed put, eventually i had to log off because they were not going away.
Those wolves can be sneaky sometimes. I remember when I was in Livonia and it was raining heavily and thunder sounds almost every 15 seconds and it was very foggy too. I was in an open field heading back to my place when suddenly a wolf just JUMPED in my screen out of nowhere and ruined every item on my head in 1 attack (cap, goggle and ski mask). Then fought them off while shaking like a coward. 😂
I had this happen to me right when I killed a cow. I was like 'really!?' and died shortly after as I was skinning and quartering the cow. The wolves ate good that day.

It was night time but good thing i stayed for a night, and once it gets morning, i walked out and on my right, i heard growled and i saw a wolf jumped across of my screen and i yelled and immediately went back to the house and shut a door. It was only one and rest came to same spot. Do not stay in ratnoe
Stuff like this is why I enjoy this game. It's Darwinism. Survival of the fitest. Kill or be killed. And be aware of surroundings. Knowing all sorts of things out there trying to kill you. Even hostile players.
I once fought some guy that was gathering gear he was out of ammo and i shot him then i was walking away and healing while it was starting to get dark and out of nowhere a maniac with a firefighter axe wearing a ski mask came out the woods chasing me but i escaped and he disappeared.

Players combined with bears. Wolves and artillery strikes in big areas. It's enough to give you PTSD. And geared up players who kill ya on the spot.

The wolves are one of my favorite aspects in the game. Its such a good time fighting them off with friends while moving through the forests at night.
