Notes -
Thorn Sorcery builds are always a great way to have fun slaughtering ganks in this game. This is a superior version of my previous INT-based aberrant sorcerer build, where I added extra Vigor to the build along with another piece of Alberich’s Set to increase the damage multiplier for your spells.
Thorn Sorcery is really limited but you can still do a lot with them. I’m still learning new things every time I use this build, and can’t wait to see what new spells they add in the DLC. Thanks for watching!

Hey man just what to give ya a thanks for showcasing some really fun and interesting builds. I made a copy of my save file right before going into NG++ at RL 100 with 10mil Runes and all upgrade materials saved up, so it's been just a blast building and randomly playing around with some of your builds. Thing I enjoy the most is they are just fun and "simple" builds that don't rely on having like 15 copies of every weapon that rely on the same AoW's over and over again or rely on constantly hard swapping 500 times for one invasion. Again, appreciate the builds and effort put into the vids, looking forward to trying out many more 🙂✌🏻
Thanks, I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the builds. I want to make invasion builds that are both fun to play with and against.
There’s a lot more to come! Next video will be about the Gravity Sorceries.
You deserve way more subs with the amount of good content you put out, you definitely should be reminding people to sub because people forget these days. Awesome video as usual, keep up the good work💯
pretty sweet you managed to make this work
What is the number one rule of videogames? Don't stand in the red circle.
Great use of these spells and music choice!
As limited as this theme is with only two true spells in the subgroup, with this stat spread both briar spells hit like an absolute truck.
Do you find winning with caster builds harder or easier compared to meele builds?
It would depend on the build. Some spells are ridiculously easy to win with while others require more planning.
Every one of my caster builds have melee on them, the trade off is usually lower absorption and elemental damage which makes dealing with crimsonwhorl exploit shitters impossible (I just sever and block).
@@Bad_Doctor Lol that's fair. I've never really been into caster builds in any of the souls games, so I have no idea how they play compared to pure meele.
@@UncleGael1999would be really interesting to see you try one out sometime. Maybe a gravity based build since you’re already very familiar with the gravity-themed weapons but add collapsing stars.
Why are the coolest spells are only handful it's such a shame. We'll ride that dlc copium train as long as we have to I guess.
Btw great free aim with that pot at 3:51
I wanted to make this video longer but there really wasn’t a reason to since every invasion is more or less the same thing - entice people to trade with briars of sin.
I’m really hoping they flesh out these sorceries in the DLC.
@@Bad_Doctor It was a lot better before they 'fixed' chain casting. It should've been a feature anyway but they just had to be the fun police.
@@Bad_Doctor Totally agree, would love to see the DLC add a couple more blood spells so we can really build a full out Blood Mage build.
Dude I never knew those fingers did that I need to try that
Do you have a Night Sorcery Build?
I’ve been working on putting one together recently. I think that’s the only subcategory of spells I haven’t yet made a build for.
I want to do something different and interesting with night sorcery since many people will use them for an “assassin sorcerer” build.
@@Bad_Doctor Ohhh, I'm looking forward to that then!
Its the only sorcery that i like for some reason!
What are the pros / cons for this build compared to the penitent one?
In short, this build gets more raw magic damage while the penitent build can make use of bleed (and golden order spells).
Lusat’s Staff gives this build 413 sorc. scaling on this build, but bleed buildup is much lower than if you used Albinauric Staff on an ARC build. On the Penitent build, I was able to achieve around 330~ sorc. scaling, but tons of bleed buildup since the staff scales with ARC.
Both are great builds. I found using ARC lets you handle latent phantoms better, but this build is an almost guaranteed kill if they trade into Briars of Sin.
@@Bad_Doctor Thank you for your answer, with which build are you having the most fun with beetween pure abherant sorcery / penitent / pure golden order incantations?
@@robina.806 I personally enjoy the more thematic builds so either Penitent or Golden Order Fundamentalist. I had a great time with both, but maybe that’s because I find the Golden Order spells to be incredibly fun.
You know what instead of making one build for one stat imma make a build for whatever thing I like
For sure, these videos are here just to showcase the potential for each subgroup of spells. I find adding these kinds of restrictions keeps the game fresh and interesting.
Im so glad I dont have Ps plus on my playstation and dont have pvp feelings xD
