Good job QDC. You are so right about the tedium and difficulty of assembly and placement of the track! I was so excited when I saw this offering by Bronco of a Canadian tank. The tracks detracted significantly from the enjoyment of building this model. I assembled the tracks concurrently from recovering from a double tooth extraction and dental surgery. The residual pain from the dental surgery relatively speaking was a pleasant distraction from building and placing these tracks.
Thanks for watching my video. Your trip to the dentist sounds painful. At least you got it out of the way and you should feel better soon. I wish you a belated Merry Christmas. I also want to wish you a happy new year. 😃😃
It's such a throwback watching QDC, I'm 19 now as of typing this and since I was around say 11-14 I've loved watching your videos, and your videos for the most part have motivated me to build model kits, tanks in particular, I've built 21armor pieces 8 of them are very modern 2 are from the 1960's-1990's, 2 jets and 1 helicopter all within a 2 year timeline a lot from Tamiya but some from other big brands such as MiniArt, Hobby Boss, Rye, Meng, Trumpeter, etc. It's a fun hobby and I'm glad you influenced me. Never change, your such a wholesome soul to the model community. Wish you the best QDC.
My favourite tank of all time. If I were rich, I'd try my hardest to aquire the real thing. Even a range wreck - and spend whatever it cost to bring it back to life.............

Once again you have brought us a great video with a really good build. Thank you for mentioning the UK and our great Queen. We all need to support each other during these hard times. Sadly Vera Lynn has now passed. R.I.P
Canadas contribution during WWII is very well known and recognized here in the UK, Canada being a part of the Commonwealth et.c.! Canada had ground troops, Navy and air crew, fighting in all theaters of operation, as far as I know... and considering Liz II is the Queen of Canada as well, it was very fitting to include her in the video also! Within walking distance from my house there is a memorial dedicated to a Canadian Lancaster crew who died on their way to do an emergency landing at Boxted Air Field.. the Lancaster had been attacked by a Luftwaffe intruder, I believe and it was burning badly and crashed just seconds away from landing. A new housing estate next to the memorial have the streets named after the crew and the approach to the estate is called 'Lancaster Approach'. Great looking tank, having followed the build on facebook I am pleased to finally see the completed tank in a video, following the process again, such as it were.. :) So well done, very well done indeed! Keep well, stay safe.. wash you hands!! Right..? ;)
Wow, I didn't know that the UK has made it known that Canada has made many contributions by naming streets after them, made memorial sites and other things.

I stopped over for 2 days in Vancouver BC on my way to the UK in 1988 & they have a RAM on display there. I took a couple of photos of it. At the time I thought it might be just a hybrid version of the cast hull Sherman not realizing until a few years later it was a Canadian built tank.
I totally understand your misperception. I had the same thought when I first learned about it too. I thought it was a Sherman. Oddly enough, the Canadians did manufacture an almost identical version of the Sherman but they called it the Grizzly.
Very cool kit, and, as usual, an excellent job building it. There's an interesting TV series called Bomb Girls from several years ago, about life in Canada during WWII... mostly surrounding women working at a munitions factory. No tanks, but I did learn a good bit of what the culture was like at the time.
Great job on the tank, figs, and base work, Colin. Too bad you had a tedious time building the tracks. I had a similar issue with the Hobby Boss 1/35 Hungarian 38M Toldi tank. They were extremely fragile to remove from the sprues and assemble. I feel your pain Brother. Happy modeling. Bill

I’ve been watching you since I was a little 8th grader and still enjoy your videos even today after I’ve graduated high school! Keep it up QDC!
Haha weeks to do your tracks love it! I just done 2 sets of panzer 4 tracks for 2 models done the Normandy ausf C and the Brukenleger panzer from Trumpeter there! Only takes a night to do panzer 4 tracks so looking forward to doing all my Sherman's next my m3 lee tracks were slightly different but my British Lee from miniart has the exa same 4 pc tracks it really does look good though! This is in my hobby shop and been in 2 minds to get it but after seeing this has made my mind up I'll go and get it for the stash atleast just now as the Sherman and lee/Grant builds are coming up next for a show here!
Wow it looks like I missed this video. I must not have been paying attention. I don't mind building tracks. If you do it right they can look at lot more realistic then the rubber tracks. About 1/3 of my models have built tracks. If I buy a model and don't like the tracks I will get some after market tracks. I have a parts box in my hobby room that is just full of the rubber tracks I discarded from other models. I'm sure a set of Sherman Rubber tracks would work ok depending on the model company they came from. Not all are the same.
I’ll admit that I bought a Tamiya M3 Lee and M4 Sherman kit to borrow the one piece tracks for my Ram I and Ram II builds. You have way more patience than I do.
Iv done a few Lee's and Grant's my favourite being the cast hull m3 lee from Takom very recommended kit! Glad to see Bronco going with new plastic the yellow plastic they use is murder for glueing it hate the glue you sometimes need to sand the edges to rough them up! The British version of the Bofors anti aircraft gun was a nightmare to glue together!
Nice to see you back. Just looking at the model, looks pretty simple. But 700 small parts, makes me think I'll stay with my 1/700 ships. Great job. FYI did you know the USS Lucid MOS 458 is restoration being in Stockton Ca. I think you live in the Bay Area, thought you might be interested.
The figures were from the tamiya universal carrier that you built a long time ago. Great video! Thanks for the warning about the tracks. Actually, they do look great though. You can really notice the hollow ends of the connectors, something you don't get with simpler tracks.
@@qdc748a No worries at all! I've actually completed my first pair of 1/35 figures this week using your techniques :-D I'm very happy with the outcome!

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't have time to write until now.
Yes, I'm doing well. Thank you for your concern.
Glad you are back
8 minutes in, and i have to say this funniest video you have put up, i like this new style. Keep it up, dude :)
Sorry for the late reply but thanks. I'm glad you like it 😊
It's all good lol. I just can't wait to see your next project :)
👍😃
great job, man!! Congrats from Brasil.
Thank you.
I’ll admit that I bought a Tamiya M3 Lee and M4 Sherman kit to borrow the one piece tracks for my Ram I and Ram II builds. You have way more patience than I do.
Outstanding work. Keep 'em coming.
Thank you, I will.
Youll be glad those tracks mate, nice build as always
Thank you. Sorry for the late reply.
He's back!
Great Video Sir. Keep it up and keep safe.
thanks.
Glad to see you back!
Damn these track.... A real pain to watch ahah
Wow , definatley Gahndi like patience! 😆
Thanks. That was a hard kit.
Sorry for the late reply. When I have time I will look at the ship. Did you know that the Jeremiah O'Brien almost caught on fire last month?
@@qdc748a Yes, will go and visit her when she reopens. Would like to volunteer, but live a little to far.
Hope all is well
The figures were from the tamiya universal carrier that you built a long time ago.
Great video! Thanks for the warning about the tracks. Actually, they do look great though. You can really notice the hollow ends of the connectors, something you don't get with simpler tracks.
Thanks. I forgot about the Universal carrier. For my efforts building the tracks, I don't think it's worth it. But thanks.
Great Music at the end
Nice work....I could not do those tracks, no way
Another triumph! Keep up the great work :-D
Thanks. Sorry for the late reply.
@@qdc748a No worries at all! I've actually completed my first pair of 1/35 figures this week using your techniques :-D I'm very happy with the outcome!
Very nice
As a Canadian I have always been interested in this tank. It's a shame about the tracks. I don't mind rubber band tracks at all. In fact, I prefer them.
Thanks for watching my video. The tracks are a pain but the model overall was well worth building. I wish you and your family safe from COVID-19.
Hail to the king!
Nice
Thank you
qdc748a still cannot believe how difficult the tracks are on this kit! Excellent job!
Congrats,,thanks to Bronco you reached the Nirvana...Mahatma QDC ;)
Sorry for the late reply. Funny comment you made.
