Respectfully, the lady in the middle had never sang a song that requires breath control, dynamics, emotional delivery, belting, pitch accuracy, story telling, and deep understanding of how a song should be sung. She’s tone deaf! You don’t need to know a song to hear and feel the sincerity of a singer when performing. Just like she said, “loves difference of opinion” but I’d practice listening to truly have a good opinion. Don’t quit your day job!

This is the best cover version of the song; and even better than the original. Even Loren Alred knows it. Morissette sets the bar for this song that others would have to emulate.
Loren Alred struggles singing this song live. She cannot sustain the high long notes and she sounds like she ran out of breath so much so you may doubt she was the original singer. The recording in the movie was probably over processed in the studio.

The question is, what genre do you like? Morissette has a TON of content ranging from pop, rock, ballads, Broadway all the way to having Disney writing a song for her to sing.
I think the best way to attack this is to engage in the comments and let us know what live performance you would like to see from her.
What I can tell you, she doesn’t lip sync, she does NOT have use auto tune and she’s not overproduced like a lot of others you’ve reacted to.

You're too used to listening to vocals in videos built in the recording studio to know when a singer sings live. It was live, it's his real voice, and it was sitting and it's phenomenal . There's just a little bit of reverberation. No autotune or junk that they use in the west. Try to get a big famous singer to sing live on a radio. No one would do it, because it's much more difficult and would put them in a bad light. They wouldn't even get to half this girl's talent level. I was lucky enough to see her live, and I'm Italian. UA-cam audio doesn't do justice to his voice. Its resonance makes your bones vibrate, its vibrato is perfect and always different. Its majestic, powerful, perfectly positioned belts. There is too many songs to suggest like "Rise Up" or "Secret Love Song" on the Wish bug. The one that I would recommend for live is the 2017 Asia Song Festival when she performed "Secret Love Song" then a mash-up of "Best of my Love" and "Emotion". She is one of the best vocalist in our generation and I think that the 2017 Asia Song Festival starts to give you a small taste of what she is capable of.

All WISH 107.5 Performances are live broadcast. She also sang this song with David Foster in his concert. I don't listen to any old covers anymore, I know she does it better than the original artist. The original singer Loren Alred struggles performing it live, she almost run out of breath. One of the she shows she was featured, she copies Morissette's this WISH Bus version using the slide technique at the end of the song. I like her original songs and in Tagalog, GUSTO KO NANG BUMITAW (WISH BUS) or her Asia Song Festival 2017 in S Korea performances are my favorite

A lot of people actually find the song Never Enough monotonous/tedious in its composition, especially the ending where the lyrics are literally variations of "never enough" over and over again. I wonder if that's what this lady was trying to express but it didn't come across quite right.

I beg to disagree that Mori is monotone, you can get a singing lesson if you are not familiar with the technicalities. FYI that is 100% live 🤦♀️ auto tune, lip sync is not on Mori's vocabulary 😊

Ma'am this young lady Morisette can cover every key on the piano board she simply gies every song she sings what it calls for, you hve to view more of her songsno one has her skill set to this day and ive spent close to fifty years in black gospel quartets and the Phillipines is where i go to hear soothing music they have very skillful singers especially in the upper range. For the record this was live on their radio station which is a moving bus and she is in a sitting posture she is in my opinion one of this day greatest vocalist on earth second to none from R&B to gospel she always gives eachh song the emotional and excellence needed her techniques are flawless her vocal embellishments are superb her range is ridiculous and her spirit is radiant, Gods gift to a hurting world. Its a Scam, No human being with ears can watch and listen to that performance and not come away with a "wow" feeling, simply impossible. As far as Not Sub'ing to the channel, pfft, who cares, The other two which were super impressed and had watched the Movie (on repeat), and Listened to the soundtrack (on repeat), AND, even told the story of how when Loren did AGT that she was the one who actually sang the song for Jenny, didn't even know her name!, or, never said "It was Loren Allred" or anything to hint that they actually knew who sang the damn song, This is a good cop, good cop, bad cop setup for sure, none of these chicks know anything about music or actually singing prowess, however the 2 did give huge props to Mori so, whatever. it is what it is with reactions these days, Basically, Its all a show for views, for 95%.

She seemed mentally checked out before Morissette even started singing. And I don't expect everyone to like Mori, but this is the first person I can recall whose criticism is that she's "monotone." If anything, criticisms of her usually trend in the opposite direction. I can respect when someone genuinely isn't feeling a singer despite trying to, but this video didn't come across that way to me. Something felt off.
