Front lip really made this car looks so much better!!! I just received mine and just waiting to put them in. I heard that the people put resin on those middle piece because they come off easily, but I feel with the screw they are prob good enough, will see.

I think it’ll be secure with the screws and then bolts like I used. However, someone mentioned this morning that they used jbweld in those pockets, which couldn’t hurt. Might do it to be safe!

I’m sure you noticed already but I have the same lip and loved the look it gives the front. I put some jbweld in those 4 small mount points that connect the mid piece to the two outer pieces then set the screws in.
Jbweld is a good idea. I might do that!
Love love love my top front, side and rear view cameras. Keeps my car off the curbs and parking blocks. Just wish i had a left/driver side down camera as i can't see right outside the door for curbs and low obstacles but there is a right. Also i would have loved to of gotten the backup/tilt down-side mirrors and electronic fold away side mirrors option.
I’m torn when it comes to cameras, electronics, and moving parts! They are cool to have but expensive to replace when they stop working. And the DO stop working lol.
I’d be fine going back to my older cars with all manual parts and no cameras haha
@@SpeedCultureStudios ive stopped buy my vehicles and lease them. Benefits cheaper payments, never upside down when time to get a new one, and always under warranty. The cry then you don't own you vehicle but the people who finance their vehicle don't own them either. The other benefit is by leaseing you are always in a like new vehicle. Ive been buying my cars for 30 years and ive never kept one longer then 2 years.
I’ve never kept one longer than 2 years either-many of them less than 18 months. AND I’ve always made money on the sale. That’s why stay away from leasing. But that’s a different topic haha

I bought a 1,500 odo used Yamaha R6 anniversary edition and cleaned it up and gave it love. I had it two years 13k mikes. Put an exhust on it, steering damper, zero gravity screen, no cut frame sliders, steel braided front lines. When i sold it i took off the main parts sold them and sold the bike for 500 more then i paid for it.

@@SpeedCultureStudios You buy a vehicle/s used and drive for 1-2 years out of warranty or over warranty miles then highly likely depending on year/condition where you have the worries and or added cost of the repairs some very expensive. With this stated making the purchases you speak of less lucrative or maybe putting you in the hole. You buy any...any new car in the realm of reality and you dont put at least 5-7k cash down then your upside down when come to trade in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...years later. Big benefits to trade in and that includes one which is time and resources which can be very costly. I never have 5-10k saved up just staring me in the face and i like to drive brand new vehicles with 24hr included roadside assistance.

Sidenote, you were right about non sport calipers, when i asked you what wheels you recommend a while ago. I didn't realize how hard it is to find wheels to clear those let alone BBK. Doesn't matter what car you have. I bought after market wheels for civic and needed spacers. Biggest pain in ass.

What type of 3m tape do you recommend? And how come you removed the engine shield
Don’t like the look of the engine cover. The typical 3m tape you find at Home Depot or Lowe’s is what I use. I don’t recall the weight, but it’ll be the strongest one you find on the shelf.

The car is a 2015. The splitter is for 2018-2019 base. Fits great.

I am assuming you had enough room to reach inside and catch the nut to hold down while tightening the bolt. Thus far only person on you tube from what I found doing it the correct way. How is the lip holding up any issues.
Yes you can get to the nuts. Absolutely necessary! I’ve never heard of anyone attaching splitters with just self-rappers and tape until I became part of this community lol. Splitter is still doing fine. Scrape everyday leaving work and she’s still holding strong!

Turbojugend Proper washing is important to not create swirls/cloudy finish. But I’ve always liked Maguiars quick detailer. I’ve used turtle wax black box with success on black cars. It’s a lot of work, but looks fantastic. The problem with this car is that Infiniti paint is so soft, it’s difficult to find anything that is really good with it. I’ll be trying out this chemical guys stuff very soon.

Do you use a board to get car up and down on those rhino ramps? Mine barely gets up there now and its not lowered and doesn’t have a splitter. I’m assuming if I put on a splitter like yours rhino ramps won’t work anymore unless boards are used?
I cannot use the rino Ramps now with the splitter.
Does the 3m tape help it hold over 100mph?
If the surface is prepped properly, you won’t have any issues

If your car is a 2015 and the lip you bought is for new years then that means that no matter what year the lip is, it will fit any q50 year model?
Not necessarily. A 2015 lip will likely not fit the 2018 properly.

I actually just got a little piece of black plastic tube using it as a spacer. Cut it down to the right size, placed it between the splitter and the bumper and just ran another small bolt up through it.

Yes it was lowered. It’ll be too low for ramps unless you use a board on approach but also don’t go all the way up

I actually don’t have a diffuser recommendation. I got a great deal on mine, but I had to work on it a lot to get it to fit nicely so I would not recommend it.

@@m.m14433 Its just an ebay special for now. It doesn't look bad, but I wouldn't recommend it. It took a lot of work to prep it and make it work. Not to mention I had to pain it.

I also bought a lip from eBay PP material and it broke coming out a driveway and my question is if I get a polyurethane lip will it be more durable and last longer ? Or is it simply because I’m lowered on Rsr super downs? This is my 2nd PP lip and they both broke 2nd day
Might be slightly more durable but you have to be careful man lol. I’m lowered over 2 inches and have had this same splitter for almost 3 years

Can you use rivets to hold them in place or bolts are the best way to go
I suppose you could use rivets, but you need to distribute the force, so the washers are actually more important than the nut and bolt. A small rivet will just pull right through if you hit something.

It looks like your splitter kicks up in the front. Is it the camera angle or just me? I specifically looked for that because I had an amazon special and it nosed up as well and I didn’t like it.
Depending on the angle really. Straight on it looks perfectly level. I’ve scraped a couple of times leaving very steep driveways so I think one side has a slight tilt now lol. The problem is the underside of the bumper is not level-has a slight slope. It’s all in how you mount it.
Exactly. The bumper noses up and there are those platforms on the splitter. I know the brand I got they weren’t angled enough to counter the bumper angle but didn’t know how these were. It doesn’t seem as bad to me on yours but you’re also lowered and raked down a little better than mine with stock suspension.
Overall, yours does look better than mine did and it’s great to know the newer years will also fit our years.

You must not have used bolts. This thing is not coming off unless it gets ripped off.

@@SpeedCultureStudios I went through three of these. They are ABS and not urethane. These are the cheapo $45 lips but they look good! You did a good job on the install, I broke mine from driving in deep snow, hitting stuff, etc.

How long is the splitter from side to side?
Never measured it. It probably an inch wider than the bumper on each side.

Just bought some small bolts and fender washers and matching nuts. They can be whatever size you want basically. Just don’t go too small or too large.

I actually think I’m going to try and paint it to see how it looks. If it sucks then I’m going to just get the gloss black grill. Not confident in my wrapping skills for the contours and I’m not paying anyone $200 to do it when I can get a complete grill for $150!
