    In the process of rebuilding my 2000 426. Was looking forward to this video. Hopefully I can replicate your results. Thanks for taking the time to film the process

      Same! Cept it's a wr426 supermoto. We should have a 426 ride party when we are all done.

      I'm trying to find a machine shop to rebuild the crank. Anyone find any? I tried some local places and they said no. Tried some online places and got no response

    sick build man, popping off throttle could be lean pilot jet, could also be fuel screw isnt set properly. my 450 had a tiny bit of popping and i rejetted and spent some time playing with the fuel screw and the popping went away

      @brodyfontenot  11 місяців тому

      The popping just went away after the engine got broken in. It's got like 50 hrs on it now and runs great.

      Silencer for 03-05 yz450 which I used but it is out of stock right now: www.fmfracing.com/products/powercore-4-044222
      You might have to just find it on ebay or something, I think that's what I had to do, because I think they stopped making them...
      Just look up: FMF 044222
      I couldn't find the header anywhere and I think they stopped making them too.

      Clarke desert tank with custom mounts

    The popping could either be the pilot, the ac pump squirt timing, or both. Believe it or not it could even be the needle clip position even though that controls more 1/2 to WOT

    Cool build! I'm just genuinely curious why you picked a carburetor model 426 to rebuild?

    • @brodyfontenot
      @brodyfontenot  11 місяців тому +1

      It has been my dads bike since 2002 so it meant a lot to keep it, wo we decided to build it.

    Out of curiosity; How much did the whole build cost you? Now finally seeing it finished, it may also be a brand new bike with customized powerparts... Not even the 426's on the pictures from Yamaha look this clean, god damn!

    • @brodyfontenot
      @brodyfontenot  10 місяців тому

      Thanks, I haven't figured out the cost yet... I'll probably do a whole video on it at some point.
