2:48 The crazy thing is that the director for the Yuji Choso fight admitted that he had Kizumonogatari in mind while doing the 3D layouts for it, even being influenced directly for how they did the water effects. The amount of creativity from the lead staff in this adaptation made this arc an instant anime classic. Wish they had more time to make it tho
For the OST, how'd you feel about the song 'Hidden Inventory'? The one that plays right after the 0.2 second domain expansion and man was just running through the station killing those things. That jazz was hitting ngl.
Ayyyyyy I have the time to finally watch this and I have something to say! I'm glad that you said that about the action, dude. My biggest problem about Naruto is how it started on a very hand-to-hand but with powers level and slowly stripped away the intricate hand-to-hand for giant beams. By the time Sukuna was fighting Jogo, I was getting bored of the large displays of destruction and it took both Todo and Choso fighting later on to get me more interested. Choso vs Kenjaku/Geto was actually just kinda excellent and I wish it had been more of that.
And I'll put the less popular opinion down here for a few reasons but I lowkey hate just how many characters in JJK have fucking horrendous deaths. I think in a story like this, death should be implemented across the board so that people constantly feel like life is at stake but Gege has taken into the territory of "every character outside of these four (Itadori, Megumi, Gojo, and Kenjaku) were made to be torn apart violently" and that just makes me want to care less about characters instead of being worried for them.
@@edgaras1103 Indeed I agree. The fights in s2 has been flashy but unfortunately they don't feel very unique. Something we've seen before. @@gamebond6248 Same. I have never seen action /timing and camera work being so kinetic in a shounen series, It felt so fresh to me .Granted S2 has much stronger vision and direction, much more filmic approach to cinematography. better compositing and backgrounds and more movement even in normal scenes . Even I agree and I prefer readability in action scenes over flashiness. Which is why Yuji vs Choso was my favourite fight frankly ( it was the most readable fight for me anyway lol ). Along with it being a small-scale brawl rather than something like Jogo vs Sukuna
Completely agreed on coherent action scenes. "seizure inducing" light show action scenes have never hit me as hard as stuff like the classic action scenes in cowboy bebop or a lot of the hand to hand fight scenes by yutaka nakamura.
