Great that Mom and Dad were able to travel with you on this journey. Surprised that little Ford wagon made it and you didn't have a 4WD pickup but you did say you would purchase what you needed when you got there.

14 years ago I graduated high school and drove to alaska to work on a fishing boat. 14 years later I am still here. I’ve had some great adventures and hard times. You’re gonna love it here, keep up the good work!
Hey how are you i live in Kentucky and i’m currently looking to move to Alaska but I will also need a job up there and I’m looking for property that I could possibly buy over the counter so we have somewhere to go when we get there. We are not very low budget, but this is our dream and I’m trying to make it happen for me and my wife any pointers on how to find land and jobs out there

watched your first two videos and thought to myself “this kid is well beyond his years.” Then I looked in the comment section and saw who your parents are. Everything became amazingly clear at that point! You are a lucky young man and have a bright future ahead of you! God bless and good luck with your journey!
Dude I’m a 67 year old guy from California. I did what you’re doing in my early 20’s. I’m very happy to have found your channel, can’t wait to see your adventures, while I remember my own.
You sound just like your dad, love both of Brooks and Dave's channels and now yours. Looking forward to the adventures ahead. I'm betting on you...Good Luck!
I noticed your parents also call it the plains. Here in Canada we call them the prairies. I live in British Columbia, and yes, it is beautiful country.
You sound so much like your dad. The same tone and story telling style. ❤ It. Your dad's voice is the reason I watch his videos. He's so calm, simple, to the point, it really is relaxing. And 🤫 ssshhh a lot of the time I fall asleep so I have to watch his videos twice. 😁
Love those moments when crossing the country and you leave the flatlands behind and finally arrive in mountain country. There's something about being able to look out into a mountain range that moves the imagination and brings excitement to any journey. I like having the wind sound in the video, it's much more realistic and easier to imagine what it's like there!
There's NO question about it! He's a Whipple! Mick, take it from an old 'Roadie', just get a piece of soft flexible foam ( you can easily find it packing materials) to use as a windscreen. just wrap it over the mic. 👍
Eventually when you want to spend the time and get a better sound track, there is indeed a way to get rid of background noise tho you may not want to get rid of most nature sounds, wind noise is not terribly good for setting a mood lol! Don't know what editor you use and if it can use plugins, but there is a plug from Waves that is called clarity and it will remove anything that is not the human voice, and if you would like to just reduce the noise but not totally remove it, it does that too. It is unbelievable. I wish I had discovered it sooner than I did. It seemed that every time I made one of my wood videos and was doing a narration, that's when the neighbor would mow his lawn lol! But after getting that plugin, It has solved a ton of problems. But my wood channel was just a minor channel, my real vids are music vids so not as necessary for them, tho when I do my talks I do use it to "clarify" the vocal. Just a suggestion. Love your content so far tho. That scenery up there is incredible!
Those views are gorgeous! I can see the appeal to want to go to Alaska. I am glad the filth wagon made it up there and I can't wait for next week. xoxo
Gorgeouse view of the mountains and landscape. I live in Ontario, Canada and never get sick of the rocky cliffs along the hwy. that spot is loveley where you and the folks stopped on Superior. it is awesome that you made it back into Alaska now you can get to processing the lumber you shall need to build your cabin. looking forward to your journey . Ontario Canada.
Just like your parents, you are going to rock this in your own way. I'm along for your journey. Your footage of Alaska is breath taking. Stay safe and waiting on your next video. ❤
Hey bud. I was 2 days ahead of you guys going to Alaska. The rain storm you hit was a full on snowstorm by Tok! Left on the 26th and made it to my place on June 1st. Love your channel so far!
the wind segment was hilarious......the tower behind you, blinking, was funny. a trucker tan is a badge of honor.....lol. views, once you got out of the plains were spectacular. thanks for sharing.
New subscriber. I saw the first program of yours about 4 days ago. You set your tent up on your new property. I thought who is this kid? You were engaging enough that I subscribed. Then I saw your mom writing in and commenting. I thought that's nice, the Whipples have already met this young man. I thought that's good, they'll help him get his feet on the ground. Then I saw the trailer and I thought that trailer looks familiar. Then I saw your mom cross the highway and I said could this be the Whipples son. You looked familiar, and since this was the first show that I saw your parents...You know, I feel better knowing that your folks are going to be there to help you get started. Good luck and I will be praying for you. Take care. Vaughn

Thanks for the update! Can't wait to see your Homestead.. Very happy to know that your parents are there with you to see you get settled in. Not that you couldn't handle it yourself, you seem to be the type that can think through a problem to find a solution. Just because you want to be out on your own doesn't necessarily mean you have to be all alone. Great memories being made :) God bless, trust the journey.
Hello! I was thinking about you today, wondering whether you'd made it. Your Dad uploaded a video, so I thought that was good news, and now, here you are! Glad you travelled with the folks. Great video, good luck, see you next week!

You have already surpassed me. This video made me realize that I wouldn't make it through 6 days of driving. Drop me off at the airport on the way and I'll see you on the other side. I don't even like the 2 day car ride to Florida. So much for imagining myself riding in a wagon across the U.S. to help settle the west. I'm officially spoiled. Best of luck to you and yay! for getting through the beginning!
I know you’re going to be just fine making your way in life, with the parents that you have I know that they raised you to be a responsible young man, good adventures to you
Awesome footage . I've prevented myself from dying on my bike, climbing mountains in 100 plus heat by wrapping up some ice cubes , or better yet, a fist sized solid chunk of ice, Aunt Jemima style, in a bandana , the ice goes on the back of your neck (hypothalamus) . put a wet cloth or wet tee-shirt over that, and cover that with your wetted baseball hat. You'll be amazed . Good to see you have some FRS radios , with Dad sounding all trucker convoy. Onward.
How great for your parents to come with you and support you on that big adventure. I hear that Alaska high way is not something you should do solo just because you're so isolated to be rescued from a break down. And I love their footage of your gypsy wagon. You can let you're mom know that the UA-cam algorithms sent me directly to one of her latest videos after yours. I so enjoyed seeing what it looks like from that highway.
It was bugging me, because I thought I recognised you…but kept asking myself how!! Now I know…good luck with your adventures. You seem like a bit of a natural. All the best. 🎉
Please prepare better when mountain hiking! ALWAYS bring water with you! That made me nervous for your youthfulness! Be wise young fella! I am also very excited to see what you do with Alaska- I am betting on you! 💕

all so called successful people always say, "never give up". "I was taught that to create anything you had to believe in failure, simply because you had to be prepared to go through an idea without any fear. Failure, you learned, as I did in art school, to be a wonderful thing. It allowed you to get up in the morning and take the pillow off your head."
My late uncle, from Ontario (originally from the UK) took me to Alaska when I was in my mid 20's and the sheer scale of it took quite some adjustment. Keep your axe sharp and your powder dry 😊

all so called successful people always say, "never give up". "I was taught that to create anything you had to believe in failure, simply because you had to be prepared to go through an idea without any fear. Failure, you learned, as I did in art school, to be a wonderful thing. It allowed you to get up in the morning and take the pillow off your head."

I live 1 hour east of the Rocky Mountain range in Alberta, Canada, where there is beautiful scenery & a lot of the same wildlife. We also have wild horse bands near the mountains, as well as elk. God bless you on your journey!
