Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) navigate running the third oldest professional football club in the world. Welcome to Wrexham is a docuseries tracking the dreams and worries of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales, UK, as two Hollywood stars take ownership of the town’s historic yet struggling football club.
In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the 5th tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The worry? Rob and Ryan have no experience in football or working with each other. From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, Welcome to Wrexham will track Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it.
The docuseries is produced by Boardwalk Pictures.

Poking fun at each other it's easy to see that they both get it. Could that change as they rise through the divisions and the pressure Cranks up and results take a large dip? Hopefully not but its not all gonna be plain sailing. The championship is full of clubs
That have got it right then got it wrong. The Wrexham story is gonna grow, how high for how long no one knows. But it is interesting and football is a forever story. Love football ⚽️ for the highs and the lows, just look at my team Chelsea.
Champions league winners 🏆 not so long ago, now we are experiencing a bit of a low which was unforeseen but hopefully now Up is the only way to go. As for Rob and Ryan

Maybe he'll be Mac's crush. Personally I hope for an episode where Mac develops a crush/relationship with someone identical to Dennis but only Dennis sees it and it drives him nuts, leading him to actively try to seduce Mac because his ego and hubris is so darn twisted. But maybe that's kind of a predictable story line

Bro, an MLS team is worth like $250 million! 😂 plus, the MLS is a closed system. Wrexham can technically move up to the premier league someday! Even the championship is much higher level than the mls!

@Lewis C for frame of reference, Miguel Almiron, Newcastle's best player this season before he got injured, started in MLS.
MLS teams are severely overvalued. Plus MLS "owners" don't actually own a team. They are investors in MLS who get to operate a team. The league owns all of the teams. Rob and Ryan make the right decision.
