I remember the Flamenco friendly in our Hampden season. I particularly remember the exceptional performance of their left winger Savio. He was outstanding. Tommy Burns tried to sign him but he was out of our reach. He eventually ended up at Real Madrid.

J.P. mentioned "Gutties" which were the white plimsoles we older geezers used to wear before the typical runners were invented by Adidas. However. there was another piece of sports apparel which was named Gutties. They were the second generation of early golf balls.

This is decades long. Window after window. It’s not accidental. It’s the club process. The recruitment strategy will never match what fans want and every window will have the same conversations.
Starting with unrealistic expectations, spend the window ragin’ and end the window appalled that our expectations were not met, win the league, humped in Europe. Then season 25/26 begins and we do it all again.

It hasn't been weeks since you guys were raving about Brendan Rodgers having 'full control'. He was in your terms an elite coach and you were salivating at the thought of him running the show at every level.
yes, he has got full control of the targets but, we can still point out the limitations of this.

If the board continue to claim there are no options for the position they need, instead of banking the fans money and paying themselves millions in bonuses, why won’t they drop the price of tickets and/ or merchandise? Based on last season. incoming's so far and a lethargic and complacent board,I'd say the lads are fully qualified to comment on the upcoming season. And a lot of people agree with them. The lads are being realistic. They're not just basing their opinions on a kick about in the sun,regardless whether they've seen the games or not.

All tremendous points and well argued but what happens next ?? Absolutely nothing. The board just carry on and not even European mediocrity, European minnows and hence it'll always be that way as long as the present people in charge are calling the shots. So do you bring in a young player with potential in Bueno at cost for a year with no guarantee he will be a success in Europe or do you go get a player like Meling for £3m who’s already proven in Europe and at International level?
It’s a no brainier for me because if Meling can cope with what Spain had to offer in terms of defending he can certainly cope with the likes of Kilmarnock and St Mirren.
At 29 he still plenty left in his tank as proven for Norway.
Experience and proven ability at the higher level trumps potential every time for me.
