@@Rx_Sqx Hello Mattias. I agree that the Orthodox Church is the true Church. I believe the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church are the same universal Church. I am not a theologian. The arguments I read were convincing on both sides. I am Italian. If I was Russian, I would have become Orthodox. As I am Italian I saw it as correct to join the Universal Church native to my roots. My cousin is Orthodox and he has eastern roots. Maybe that sounds like odd reasoning, but after a time you just have to commit and the arguments I can make will never reach the heights of the best theologians on both sides.

Well, I just know that the men of the cloth are probably tempted more than anyone else.
So, I am not too surprised of the horrid actions of the priest.
That's why I look up to God rather than to fellow men.
Because men of God fall more often than anyone. I know by experience and by reading the bible.
Think men like David and Solomon.
Both men are great men of God.
But both men fell harder than anyone else.
      Or how about Ravi Zacharias.
He was an incredible man. But also a man with a dark secret.
It just shows that we shouldn't look up to people too much. Because they might just end up falling.
What the bible shows us is just how messed up the world is.
That priest needs help and forgiveness and my condolences to the girl, she need consolation from people who care about her.
      God bless you.

Let me start by saying I come from a place of love! The entire New Testament is based on faith for salvation! Good works is a product of righteous belief. No where in the New Testament does it say that works is what saves. Yeshua constantly said that a person’s faith is what healed them, it’s a grace based doctrine. Grace means UNDESERVED forgiveness. Undeserved means there is nothing we can DO (works) to change our salvation but to believe thatYeshua is who He says He is!! Now, works is a part of following Yeshua but with out faith , works doesn’t do anything for salvation. Works with out faith=useless, faith without works , you are still saved. Please KNOW YOUR BIBLE EVERYONE! Learn the truth and don’t let false doctrine to deceive . And it’s all in Yeshua’s name Amen!!

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:18 📖 The Council of Nicaea aimed to settle disputes about the nature of Christ and affirm the divinity of Christ; it did not create a new version of Christianity.
01:29 📜 Constantine did not make Christianity the official religion but legalized it, allowing its practice.
02:12 🏛️ The council was called to deal with the theological disputes between Orthodox Christians and Arians, not various heretical groups.
04:46 🙏 Constantine presided over the council to achieve unity and settlement, not to enforce a specific theological view.
05:40 🕊️ The Nicene Creed was formed to condemn Arianism and confirm Orthodox beliefs; the council did not decide on the biblical canon or the use of the word "Trinity."
07:45 🛡️ The Aryans gained political power, but internal fighting led to their downfall, and Christianity continued to grow. The Council of Nicaea did not create Christianity or erase competing sects.

first of all, the prophet's name was not and is not "jeezus" which is a mashup of languages and sounds not native to his culture nor languages. Most likely he was known as "yeshua" or something akin to that, and such a name was not at all uncommon and in hebrew script would have been indistinguishable from "joshua" or "isaiah".
Second "son of" is a vague usage and often distinguished people with similar names, but in NO WAY indicated a unique relationship, let alone direct lineage from yahweh.
Third, judaic culture (then as now) regards yahweh as UN-Knowable. To even imply intimate relationship with him, would amount to blasphemy. Even if he believed that (which I do not think he remotely did) no way would he say it to an audience of jews. Not because they would stone him to death (which they might) but rather that they would simply stop listening to his message. He was not an idiot. He knew he had something to say to them, which every prophet presumed. neither were prophets rare in that period but they did have to prove themselves. Very likely, as with isaiah, he eventually made some mistakes and ended up dead because of that, or just because he was a credible to the power of the temple priest class.

You might also note that Arianism remained strong in the Arabian penensula and had a great effect in the foundation of Islam. It is the Arian view of Christ that was incorporated into the Quaran.

Constantine historically was a pagan until just before he died. It is well-known that he was still a pagan during the time of the Nicene Creed. Whilst it is correct that the Nicene Creed focused mostly on the issue of the divinity of Christ, by that time much of Roman Christianity had been greatly influenced by paganist beliefs; beliefs that Constantine himself adhered to and supported, including the pagan-supported belief of the trinity.
The Nicene Creed merely formalised the belief in the trinity that existed amongst most pagan converts. Their belief in the divinity of Christ made God more accessible to them as all their pagan gods were human-like. The truth is that Jesus never claimed to be divine.

Even though we say "He cannot lie. " and it's true enough, there WAS, on at least one occasion, a counsel being held in heaven, and the spirits and helpers were talking it over with the Lord about how they were going to bring about the demise of a certain king. (1 Kings 22 and 2 Chronicles 18:) So one of 'em says, "I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of ALL his prophets." Funny thing about that story... two funny things, actually:
      1) the Lord seemed to LIKE the idea, so He said, "OK, You have the winning idea; you seem like the man [spirit] for the job. " (or words to that effect)
And 2)... as you'll see later, even though the Lord didn't DO the actual lying, He certainly seems to approve of certain heads of state being lied to and going after delusion ("strong delusion") in order to meet their demise (but WE don't know anybody like THAT, today, do we? ) And just as the king WILLINGLY chose NOT to listen to the final warning of the true prophet, so, today, in our wonderful "democratic world" people CHOOSE their leaders, ignoring clear, definite voices of truth in favor, RATHER, of skewed and even obvious disinformation, generated by the corporate media and press in addition to clearly lying govt. officials.
In ANY case, the thing that surprised me is that really ALL the prophets told him a lie... the first time: the 400 false prophets AND God's true prophet (Michaiah). Funny thing is, the king - wicked as he was - didn't even BELIEVE the true prophet when he lied. "He even said, "Oh THIS one NEVER says anything good about me. "
So he asked him AGAIN, and THEN he gets the full story: BOTH BARRELS! But he STILL goes and does the idiotic thing; he CHOOSES his own demise. How like the leaders of today (and their constituents) who choose RATHER feel good slogans than reason.
We have "democracy" but we are just as adversely affected by the bad decisions of those in power (even the ones we DIDN'T vote for) as people living under a wicked, evil king.
Does God "lie"? (That's what we were talking about.)... Well, no, I don't find any evidence for that, not exactly, but He CERTAINLY is capable of letting people opt for (THEY choose! ) "strong delusion" if they choose NOT to believe the truth. (2 Thesselonians 2:10 - 12) and "willingly ignorant" (2 Peter 3:5) It's like they get so USED to doing evil stuff, they (as did this king, and many of today's leaders) just think, "Oh, THIS is just something ELSE I'll get away with"... till they don't!
And who suffers? Usually, everybody, and sometimes (as in this Bible "story" [it's HISTORY! ] ) other nations as well, are dragged down with them.

After constant persecution and having their writings destroyed it is no wonder some think it appeared so late in history.

@@robertnieten7259 Dear Robert: Obviously, you are of the Pentecostal persuasion - and that is why you think that Pentecostalism is actually the oldest branch of Christianity, due to the Day of Pentecost narrative in Chapter Two of the Book of Acts. But just to give you some extra food for thought here, if you carefully read Peter's speech to the multitudes on the Day of Pentecost, Peter calls Jesus a MAN who God has favored by raising him up in his resurrection - but in Peter's words, Jesus is just a MAN. I believe that Luke has reported that accurately, to his credit. The earliest Christians, the original followers of Jesus, regarded their master / rabbi as a great prophet and spiritual teacher, and probably also as the Messiah, but they did not see him as being divine - that concept evolved into its final form at the Council of Nicaea, although the first gospel writer to fully declare a high Christology was John the evangelist in his gospel. In Judaism, the Messiah is divinely anointed, as were the kings of Israel, but not divine himself.

oh, in the video at 2:33 a correction: "...constantine moved to settle it..." [meaning the conflicts in ideology and teaching]. No, constantine just saw it in his interests to STANDARDIZE the doctrine (and the bishops saw it the same way, at least among the MAJORITY opinions). This was especially convenient to constantine, who wished to consolidate his power and position (as the new emperor of the eastern empire) and he wanted the bishops to have a reason to be loyal to him. So he pretty much gave THEM free rein to determine "right" dogma. Constantine himself did not really participate directly in those debates/discussions/fights but rather positioned himself as the magnanimous peace-maker, and therefore the umbrella authority OVER the bishops.
Constantine was a military general and a consummate politician (and raised that way) and NOT a theologian. He was however, as the other emperors before him, something of an opportunistic populist, hence his interest in relaxing overt suppression of "christian" practices. Other roman emperors before him, had also built vast public buildings, mostly to increase their popularity, and some of them even handed out money. Obviously they knew that "appearing popular" could benefit them somehow. Why would Constantine be any different?

Constantine had virtually nothing to do with the forming of the canon and it was not even discussed at Nicea. Instead, the council that formed decisions about the canon took place in 397 in Cathage. This was 60 years after Constantine’s death.
It is important to note that 21 books were acknowledged by Christians long before Constantine. In AD 330, Constantine did finance the copying of 50 Christian Scriptures. However, this was not a new Bible, and he did not omit any of the already accepted books.

Have you heard other points of view from actual historians? (BTW, the producer of this video is not a historian). Historians do not lie (typically). They try to recreate the most plausible narrative of past events. The narrative: "The Virgin gave birth to a baby how was also 100% god, named Emanuel (though no one ever called him that), who walked on water, did a lot of other magic deeds and gave a lot of sermons written down perfectly word-for-word decades later by his [anonymous] disciples. Their writings, along with another dozens of others, were gathered together over the next 300 years by the hand of God, who inspired some really corrupt puppets of Constantine to choose exactly the ones God wanted to be preserved in His perfect word," is deemed less than plausible by most honest historians. Not because they are liars, but because it sounds exactly like mythology and absolutely not like history.

I have a very important question: where in the New Testament did Jesus say "Go unto the people and preach the good news that I have shared with you, and if you meet with people who do not heed the words that you have to share with them, I want you to burn them at the stake, kill them all, yeah, even the children I say unto you, everyone that disagrees with your teaching shall be tortured even until death. Go, therefore, and do this in My Name"
Someone help me because I can't seem to find that passage anywhere.
But he must have said that, because 1500 years of torture and killing did happen at the hands of the One True Faith.
They couldn't have gotten it so wrong, could they?

Truth, Lies & Deceit within Two Covers by the World of True Science
That book of confusion that Christianity worships contains truth, Lies, deceit and many false assumptions. It is all between two covers.
Facts and truth is where we find them.
There are many gods and gods are just myth; they are the imagination of the human mind. However there is just one Creator; our Father the Great Creator is not a mythical god, but the creator of all that exists. The highest of all physics, that controls all other physics; it is the spiritual realm of Truth.
Truth is all that exists. Other than Truth there is just a concept of an absence.
The Great Creator is spirit that saturates and surrounds all existence; similar to electricity.
Our Father the Great Creator is the source of all intelligence Knowledge and Understanding.
That book of confusion is viewed as the words of Christianity’s Chief mythical god. This god is a cruel and unjust Mythical god that is viewed to have a torture-chamber of everlasting fire where he tortures all of those who are not in the tradition and the worshiping of their mythical gods. This hell myth was put into that book to put teeth and fear into their god worshiping society.
That book was not edited and produced by any of Christianity’s gods. Neither was it edited and produced by our Father the Great Creator.
That book of confusion that Christianity worships was edited and produce by the Catholic Church known worldwide as Christianity; and all the Protestants are just her little children that are ashamed of their mother.
The reason you find the word god in the book of confusions is that Constantine was a sun god worshiper. He believed in the gods. So he likened our Father the Great Creator to the mythical gods.
The Roman Emperor, Constantine actually did the final editing of that book and put the book and the Catholic Church in power, World-Wide.
In true reality it was the Catholic Church known worldwide as Christianity that ruled the world by the power of Rome. All nations feared the power of the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church had whole Cities massacred by Rome because the city would not come under the Catholic Church dominion. It is all in history; search honestly and you will find the truth.
This is just words to the honest and wise: honesty and understanding is the only true belief. Without honesty and understanding we do not know what to believe.
To accept others opinion of the truth without proving it to yourself; it is being deceived it is not believing.
      We must understand to believe.
I do realize that the facts and truth is difficult for Christianity to face honestly.
All Criticism is welcome, as thoughts of criticism are one of the processes of learning. True Criticism is presenting facts; it is not name-calling and slander.
Until Next time; Sweet Dreams: truth will solve all our problems before we create them; and ignore or reject the truth; problems will multiply all by themselves.
Have a great and a meaningful life, if it is at all possible.
Just whispers, of the Ghost of Reality

And then Catholics went on to burn any that opposed them?
Then the Spanish Inquisition? Then burn and torture anyone who read the Bible in any language other than Latin, because they wanted to maintain their hold on power? And they told people, for hundreds of years that if you gave money to the church your dead relatives would have a better afterlife, and you yourself could buy yourself a good seat in heaven?

I don't know if you still read your comments from something you posted so long ago but I hope so. Thank you and God bless you! While I have been a believer for a long time I certainly bought into all that stuff about the orthodoxy stamping out the Gnostics so this blew my mind. Of course, you also hear that immediately persecutions began of all non-believers in Orthodoxy and so the idea you get is that it was all so political.
But contemplating all these issues in my heart for a long time and after reading some of the Gnostic Gospels (and finding especially the Gospel of Thomas quite compelling) I began to really understand the wisdom of the choices for inclusion. I do feel like God's loving hand was in that council because the orthodox message indeed turns out to be quite different, with profound implications for the believer.
For me, through the eyes of four different Gospel interpreters the essence of the Word made flesh - Jesus - comes shining through like a beacon. In it is a very different message from the gnostic "know thyself". It is rather the recipe for the abundant life of the Spirit that all born again believers have glimpsed and decided to grab hold of. The Shepherd's voice calls.
We live in a world which celebrates self knowledge and awareness. Christians are people who've examined ourselves and found us lacking. (Kinda tedious actually.) So we seek to decrease so He can increase in us. Very different message indeed.

Zakaria BenSadouk Do you even know the history of Islam??- do u know Muhammad was suicidal??
In Hadith, first revelation Mohammad reported “the angel caught me forcefully and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore.” Each time the angel asked him to recite, the angel “pressed” him so hard that he could not bear the pressure.
After his encounters with the angel, he returned to his wife terrified, his ‘heart beating severely.” After this the angel did not come back for a while and the “divine inspiration paused.”
      - A cross reference to another Hadith in Sahih Bukhari that elaborated even further 9.111 - it said that when he saw Gabriel, his “neck muscles twitch in terror,” and when the angel had gone for a while, Muhammad became so depressed “that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, the angel would appear before him and say “O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah’s Apostle in truth.” Whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down.”
      - Muhammad contemplated suicide
-the quran stated men can take 4 wives only, but your prophet had 7 wives at one point. God is not inconsistent.
-muhammad married a 6yr old girl & slept with her when she was 9 & he was 52. He was a pedophile

Over all a decent video. I find it interesting that you talk about the Arianism as though it was not Christianity at all. When they only differed from the Catholics in on single point of doctrine. It's like a Methodist telling a Catholic that they are not Christian because they don't understand the doctrine of Grace. The historical truth is that after centuries of severe persecution the church was severely fractured and there were many within the church trying to establish themselves as the new religious authority for the order. You didn't talk about how heated the council became. Like how St. Nicholas strikes Arius over the head during their debate. Does not sound like a gospel of love or peace. Nor does it sound like they were interested in any Devine direction for how to lead the church. You also casually mentioned that the Arian faith just died out. Well it was a literal dying when their Catholic brothers ordered them to convert or die.

@@peregrinegrace8570 Actually Scripture itself says that the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Timothy 3:15), and that we are to devote ourselves to the teachings of the Apostles (Acts 2:42), whom Christ gave the authority to bind and loose (Matthew 18:18-20), and that we know Christ through them (Acts 15:7) and their successors (Act 1:12-26). This is because the New Testament was not decided on until long after the Church was already established.
You are partially right that we should not follow men, but *specific* men, namely men who do not have the authority that was passed down from the Apostles by Christ. Every teaching and church that came after the Catholic Church can be traced to after the Reformation, which means they are man-made. If you tell me which denomination you come from, it is possible to trace it back to a man and to a time not too long ago, and to the cultural movement from which it stems.

Muslims & Atheists conveniently forget that as early as 111AD in a letter to the emperor Trajan, Pliny the Younger stated that he had ex-Christians interrogated and found out from them that 1) When they were Christians they used to meet together on a certain day and 2) They sang hymns to Christ as to a god. Or in plain English - they met on Sundays because that was when the Resurrection happened and they believed Jesus was of divine origin. All that as early as 111 AD.

Question: if you actually saw the lame walk, the blind see, the dead, rise, and the lepers cleaned, would you believe then? Probably I bet... But I realize you have probably not seen those things, and that's why you don't believe. Even Jesus said, "unless the people see wonders and signs, they will NOT believe.". So Jesus taught his followers to heal as he did because Jesus knew that we are all spiritual in nature, as Quantum Physics now confirms by saying, "there is no matter as such". (Max Planck). Rome had to reinvent a new form of Christianity. They couldn't tolerate a lot of healings, done by regular people like you or me. [Rome couldn't be powerful if people had more power than they did. And the Jews, who were looking for a powerful Messiah, might have flocked to Jesus forever.] That's why the Roman church at the Nicene Council had to say, "naturally Jesus could heal because he was God! " and that "only God can heal". That's why they had to discount healings by common people as not possible DESPITE Jesus very clear and simple statement... "these things and GREATER, will my FOLLOWERS do".

Jesus represents none of this in the gospel accounts, and nor does Paul represent Christ as the head of such a council or with the power of a Pope. Its bullshit pure and simple. Jesus had nothing whatsoever to do with the church past his own life and death. The followers took over from the time Jesus died.
