What the feds don’t understand is that the older I get , the less life in prison is a deterrent.
When my grandparents immigrated, they learned to speak, understand, read and write the language of this country. They wouldn’t speak their native language around English speaking Canadians as not to offend them. They didn’t ghettoize themselves and became hardworking, productive members of society that loved Canada. FJT!

Virtually every immigrant group 'ghettoized' themselves out of necessity. UNLESS they were the lucky ones given free land. The feds couldnt care less about your desire for prison, when the conservatives get in, they will be looking for all the inmate labour they can get.
This video was LITERALLY about people working slave labour out of fear and you are writing an idiotic screed on 'how easy they have it'.

Get a nest egg first. I'm a tradesmen, I work in mostly industrial settings, some mining. Got my start as a residential plumber in ontario. I'm doing construction projects because they pay more, worked 8 months last year helping build a mine in a remote location and made over 140 grand, then worked another job for the rest of the year clearing over 1800 per week.
You can get a skill that is useful most places you go, but it pays a lot in canada, then you can use that money to set you up in another country. Check out being an industrial pipefitter, or electrician, etc. It's not easy work, but the pay is very good and it can get you enough money to gain a foothold, buy property in another country.
Hope this helps. I really do get the frustration of living in this country that is working overtime to eliminate itself, it's crazy what our political class is doing to us.

Sadly the only person like that is Maxime Bernier but he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning. Pierre is our best bet, but even his been largely silent on the obvious issue of mass immigration leading to a lack of housing, lack of wage growth and less over all jobs being available, especially the lower skilled wage jobs. Food service, security, customer service have all been impacted by cheap labour being imported from India. Pierre's only comment on the matter is that he'll make it easier to build homes, which is cool but importing over a million per year isnt going to solve 2/ 3rds of the issues in Canada.

    We have empty condos.
We have properties owned by corporations that are forcing rental rates.
    Solution:
    1. CRA can provide a list of who owns what and what they are charging for rent
    2. Pull list of empty properties and who owns them and understand why they are sitting empty and how much rent they are asking
    3. Stop forcing low income housing into high income areas - it’s not working
    4. People naturally gravitate to people like them and that’s not the worst thing, why is it?
    5. Share who is paying for all the immigrants coming in - show the money trail

Importing skilled immigrants is required for economic growth however the last 5-8years has seen an increase in student population who have entered the country on the pretence of education visas and have flooded the part time jobs market, with no intention of pursuing the degrees and no upskilling. As a born-and-raised Canadian citizen, educated here in PEI, and skilled, I cannot get hired in my field of study and I can't even get hired for a dishwashing job in a local restaurant because there are hundreds (as in over 300) applicants for every job opening. The majority of jobs are being filled by non-Canadians. I have heard from several immigrants that PEI is "one of the easiest provinces to get my PR in. Once I get it I'll move to Toronto or something"....PEI cannot sustain this. Neither can Toronto. CANADA CANNOT SUSTAIN THIS. They all get to move on with their lives and have the option of moving home again, but this IS my home. I have poured into this country my entire life, and my parents before me, etc and my hubby and I are about half a month away from losing everything and our government thinks Canadians are worried about contraceptives for women????? Teen's can't find jobs because they're all filled by adults. If your child is not part of a minority they have little to no chance of finding a summer job. All the job postings and online application's and questionnaire's for jobs ask if you're part of a minority? Are you part of the LGBTQIA2S? what is your ethical background? These are the first question's ask before they even get into what your actual qualifications are. It took my son over a year to find a job as it wasn't until I put him down as part of a minority as he is half Filipino. It's ridiculous. Our Walmart's, Tim's, Fast Food, grocery stores.... all filled with people who barely speak English. I don't say that to be hateful or rude....but just the fact that then you know the likelihood of them being born in Canada are slim. You don't see any teens working in these spaces anymore. Like you mentioned, now these teens are just sitting at home, playing video games, not actually interacting with people, not having these experiences we once did working with our peers. It's really sad. I am accepting of all. I believe in immigration.....but this is out of control. We don't even have jobs for those who were born here. We don't have funding for those born here. We don't have enough houses for people born here. Why are we bringing more and more people into our country? I am at a loss. Don't even get me talking about the increase of violence and theft. The video's and stories I hear on a daily basis are sick.

I also read a comment a few months back from a guy who lives in India. Apparently it is a big joke back in India, that if anyone wants their Permanent Residency to apply to any program in any school and you magically get your PR status. He even said that Canada isn't even getting their best citizens.

I met a nice fellow in Toronto who was from India and was a student. I asked him why he was in Canada and what he thought about our immigration policy. He said that Indians have an over-population problem and are leaving India for opportunities in the Western world. He also said it was a herd mentality that brought people here, because their friends and family choose to come, and thus many just follow along. He said a lot come to Canada for a couple of years, realize it’s a scam, and apply to the United States because it’s easier to get a job there once you’ve had experience in Canada. He even said he thought there were too many Indian immigrants and it was a bad policy.
I don’t think the immigrants are bad people. However, it is true that there is a level of self-interest and tribalism that is natural with mass migration. There’s no incentive or mechanism to assimilate people. I think thats the problem with this policy. Having too many people come from one part of the world, that also has a totally different identity and way of life to the host, is bound to cause chaos. The chance of us being able to assimilate this population is into our country is zero.
The reality is you don’t have a country without a common culture. It’s not a race issue; we had the same problem with the French and almost lost Quebec twice. It’s just necessary that every has a shared social contract and is on the same page for us to live with each other.
I am most worried about identity politics and the active discrimination and hatred towards the white working class. There’s no way they will continue to put up with their displacement; I don’t want things to get violent but you see the uptick in violent crime in Toronto and it seems like this will become inevitable. I really pray for us all.

The great thing about Indian immigrants, which I am a child of, is that they vote conservatively. This is true of a Indians and Chinese, and usually any ethnic group that is stereotypically hard-working. While blacks and hispanics in the US vote Democrats, Indians and Chinese in Canada vote Conservative. This is because they work hard and don’t want their hard-earned money siphoned off to people who may not be putting in the same kind of effort as they are. Plus they are willing to do hard work for lower pay, which means they make things cheaper to buy, and increase our standard of living. In addition Canada needs doctors, engineers, & computer scientists, & there simply is not enough local people going into these professions. While in Canada it is rare to meet someone who does these jobs, these professions are just considered normal in India. Doctors and engineers are all over the place there and we need them here.

However I do see Canada is becoming one of those failed states recent decade that the elected governments (from federal to provincial and municipal) are doing exactly the same thing like those failed states - lying, corrupting, cheating, and bs around international stages like idiots. Whatever she's saying is 100% correct. Canada does not have the infrastructure for this kind of immigration flood. Less houses are being built, less jobs are being created because of government's weak foreign investments and more people are being let in. This is one issue. Another issue is the quality of the crowd being let in. Every country has garbage. It is your responsibility to filter the garbage out and let the clean product in that can be useful for this country. Do you know that submitting just photocopies of your degree gets you an admission to the college and a Canadian student visa? People are producing fake copies of their degrees and using them to get here. Doesn't it look like the goverment is doing it on purpose? In the US, you will have to submit your original transcripts from the university to get an admission in any American university. That's how concrete the screening is being done across the border. I also feel like it must be made mandetory to learn Canadian culture and rules before you can enter the job market or with in a couple of months you enter the country. How to greet people, how to sort out your garbage, how and why you are not suppose to break rules, what is polite and what is impolite here etc., has to be made as mandetory courses to complete for everyone who is entering the country except visitors of course.

This has been happening for a while, more than 20 years. Companies were hiring immigrants as there were cash kickbacks from the Government like half the wages and language training were paid by the Government so why hire Canadians off the street? I knew an old driver for a KFC about ten years ago and he has seen the management change and then he said to me. "I'm the last one there and when I leave there will be no job for the white man" is what he said as they were not hiring any white Canadians, but they were hiring immigrants. I haven't seen him for a while and I heard the old driver left due to his health from his wife as I met her a few years ago walking her dog.
Tim Hortons is half and half Canadian-owned anyway (Individual Franchisees) but the owner is a Brazilian firm 3G Capital, which owns RBI, made to the federal government when it acquired Tim Hortons in 2014. How many Companies are actually Canadian-owned? if they are not or are, Canadian-owned and encouraged by the Federal Government to hire Immigrants and receive financial help from the Government, then why hire native-born Canadians?

Small ethnic enclaves on a local civic level can work and enhance a culture, assuming the people assimilate over time, which means starting to identify with the host culture more than with one’s ethnic group. Multiculturalism can work in a metropolitan area where there’s lots of contact with other groups, and the populations become interweaved and become one people as they join each other in friendship and marriage over time. However, when you have a massive enclave like Brampton that starts to form its own parallel society, it doesn’t work. Canada actually had this problem with the French; they decided they didn’t want to assimilate into the English culture and in order to manage that we had to give them their own province, with their own border and political party. That’s what happens when you have too much diversity. The problem is if we repeated this process with all the different groups in Canada now, we would collapse and become economically obsolete.
Unfortunately, the rate of ethnic change has been too fast. It’s not in the interest of any group for this to happen, especially if you are a member of the new group that’s causing this disruption. You are bound to see more hostility because this bad policy really does destroy the social fabric of the society.

The only solution for Canada is to have a PM who has balls , who can deport these kind of fake students , and make real students life better.
Bring in students who are serious about studies and can afford that , who come to study in real Universities , not two room colleges. Give those students work permit and pathway to residence who study in those universities and get right degrees which are in tune with job market.

Agree on some points but completely disagree with the term "unskilled labour", that is absolutely untrue. A lot of immigrants come with a lot of skill sets, diplomas and valuable background, but once they come here they are tossed to the side and not helped enough to one: integrate the culture around them and two: there is a lack of recognition of their skills, lack of financial help during their studies in order for their skills tp be recognized, and other loopholes which eventually lead them to go to low-paid jobs, which was Canada's plan all along anyways. On top of that, you can take international students as an example, they pay the most absurd and highest college fees to get a crappy canadian degree which is worthless in terms of canadian employment, but of course generates tons of money for the stupid govt. So you've got tons of skilled labor, which are thrown to low-wage jobs, and they are stripped off of their money to give it all to an incompetent, greedy and useless govt.

My Daughter in law applied for Housekeeping positions here and delivery position with "Intelcom". Both positions she held and was well liked by customer and Employer. She was denied. She was not hired for any of those positions as they were being held for immigrants. She said she went from working with a "united and inclusive" workforce ( largely immigrants) to being discriminated against despite her spotless and skilled work record. How BACKWARD is this???? Deny skill, experience and expertise.....for what????

We need NO NEW SPENDING, and we need to cut the hell out of what we are spending now. We need to go full "Argentina". Argentina ran over 20 years of deficits and Javier Milai balanced their budget in 4 months. That is what we need to do here in Canada. And we need to immediately halt all immigration for one year, just to catch up and figure out what we need to do to balance social, housing, and fiscal issues.
