Orphaned Mountain Lion ‘Rose’ Becomes Social Media Darling

- An orphaned mountain lion is being nursed back to health by the Oakland Zoo. Caregivers named her Rose, and believe she’s about 4 or 5 months old. An average cub of that age would be about 30 pounds. Rose only weighed 8 pound, 8 ounces. She is being bottle fed formula and spoon fed. Doctors are “guardedly optimistic” about Rose’s recovery. The Oakland Zoo is giving updates on baby Rose on its social media pages.
This is very heartwarming. Luckily the cub is safe now.

I'm glad those people called in professional wildlife experts rather than approaching the cub or trying to taker her home❤️
and I'm glad the wildlife experts didn't decide "to let nature takes it's course" since we know mankind has botched it up a lot and these animals need our help.

I personally hate zoo. Animals should live freely as born free. But sadly enough some of greedy humans destroy their sanctuaries for own profits.

She’s precious..🐾🐾Mountain Lions don’t have a strong sense of smell and can’t “roar” like the word lion in the name implies. Thankfully someone spotted her just in time. She won’t miss what she didn’t have and I bet she’ll be spoiled and grow into a beautiful little lady. We spot one or two once in awhile in our area. She’s cute!

She is absolutely adorably precious!!! I’m glad she was rescued but very sad she’ll never be able to be in the wild again. I hope she goes to a good caring wildlife preserve. 😻❤️

@@karlasoraya2175 agreed. For all the good zoos do, they have to be stressful places for animals; especially wild born ones.
I'd love to see her at the Living Desert in Palm Desert. CA. They take wonderful care of the animals there. It's a special place that takes in many rescues.
@@bellona6356 the Lincoln park zoo in Chicago took in a wolf that lost its mom in the wild and was rescued as a baby. He could not go back to the wild.
Rose, I can relate. After a transfusion it's like your body was given a brand new life 😂 you feel great.
I felt sick after I got a blood transfusion

I was told the same thing, but felt absolutely no difference.
I've had 2 lots of transfusions, and neither time did i feel any different at all.

after a rough week and seeing my a cat crossing the rainbow at 12:56 at morning this makes me tear up with happiness .i hope the best life is waiting ahead for rose with full of fun and happiness which he didn't get before. Thanks a lot for saving and nursing back rose to health and sharing this type of heartwarming content which add a little happiness in our life.

Many people understand the heartbreak of losing a precious pet. I wish you the best in your healing heart and keep in mind they will be waiting for you. It's how I have coped with losing mine late last year, I'm still devastated.

Turpentine animal rescue is a really good animal rescue it’s in Eureka Springs Arkansas. They take in cats that had either been orphaned like her or that were purchased and abused or from people that purchased it and couldn’t afford to keep it! She is such a cute kitty. I pray she gets everything she needs to live a full healthy life.

Thank God for the person who called her into the wildlife dept. She is so expressive and I am hopeful she recovers with no lasting damage. It's a miracle she survived without food for so long. Thanks to the Oakland Zoo for caring for her, we need our wildlife.

This reminds me of a few baby kittens I had. They were inbred. One got to a little over a month old and was still less than one pound. She was still in the box and didn't grow. She wasn't walking by herself. They were born on Halloween, but they all died. We couldn't do anything.
