This sounds perfect for a JRPG magical forest BGM and 2:40 would work as the fight themes of monster encounters in said forest. Parts of the song reminds me of soundTeMP (BGM creators of Ragnarök Online, Tree of Savior, FlyFF, Maple Story Etc) tracks (the beginning of the song reminds me a lot of Plateau from RO) while it also reminds me of the Sound Design in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. I believe both games have outstanding music and the fact that this mixes the two together is just simply amazing.
I also have the same reason to listening to doujin music. To me, it just sounds better then the top charts of today, don't get me wrong though I still like to listen to western music, but I feel the choice is limited as I have certain tastes for music. btw this song is beautiful to listen to :)
Scharlach that's what I don't like about the western music industry. as long as they have fans, they really don't care about the music as long as they're frequent and at the top of charts. to add to your comment, I like music to have some sort of a story which doujin music provides, which I guess is another reason why I don't like western music much
Scharlach it's rare. is that the song the kagamie (sorry for spelling) sing where Rin is a swan and tries to save len from an illness? correct me if I'm wrong
You can find those emotional songs in western music. It's the pop songs that are rarely emotional, and they're usually just cheap lyrics on cheap rhythms that make a lot of money, or people say the lyrics are meaningful, but they could mean just about anything. The emotional songs in western music aren't all to common, but I'd say they're just as rare as in Doujin music. It's just that in doujin music, it's so much easier to find music of higher quality.
i've been searching for this song for so long, and then one day it came up on my recommendation again, thank you for this its been so many years and i still enjoy it
According to artist himself in the following link www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm3276414 This is labeled as Ethnic music which is called Folk music in general. It falls the category of Medieval song but I rather went with Folk tag to not confuse the people. Celtic was another tag that artist used for this arrange so its a celtic folk song in short however as you said there are also techno and synth elements in it too which makes the general genre of this arrange more unique but I guess the current genre tags for this arrange in the title should be sufficent enough to describe what this song is all about.

Yeap, definitely Legend Of Heroes Trails In The Sky Trilogy :")
Weird, I also got that same SoundTeMP vibe.
Funny that Patchouli could be Celtic
Coming back to this after so many years and it's a massive nostalgia hit. It's just as beautiful as when I first listened to it
2:40 When Patchouli catchs Marisa taking a book
Folk and Traditional renditions are always my favourite.

I'm happy that we are at least sharing same kind of taste in music mate and thank you for listening this lovely arrange!

Scharlach it's so moving, it too almost made me cry. its the first song to do that to me that I could only listen to it once

I am happy to hear you liked this lovely folk arrange!
Thanks for the comment and thank you for listening
When i hear this. First thing in my mind was Atelier Series.
kinda reminds me of mana khemia and atelier iris music
Now that you mentioned it... yeah it has this Gust vibe to it that you usually hear in Atelier series ^w^
Ephemeral necromancer, is that you?
Dang. I've never seen Patchoulli look this fine before...
Really good. Any other touhou remixes like it?
am I commenting on a 6 year old video? yes. I would just like to say that I associate this specific arrangement with Odin from Norse Mythology.
This arrange is still one of my top Touhou arrangement ever. Still cant get enough of it. So good
@@Kappashiro it's the piano at the later parts right? it comes in and you just get the goosebumps all over
Are there more music from Liverne?
Also what sort clothing is this especially the headdress?
Is this really Folk? There is so much *beep* *boop* *bop* in it though
