In my case I have a German keyboard in German and my unlock code contained a 'y'. On German keyboards the key for 'z' and 'y' are changed. So I had to input my unlock key with a 'z' instead of a 'y'

A BIG advise, take your code, copy it, and paste it on google, or a text software. You will be surprised at the letters used. For example for my code to me, I read 1, whereas it was about l. A FUCKING lowercase L. For the o or O, google directly identified it as an O and not a zero for example. And again, beware of the azerty keyboard, the code only works in qwerty. And with left crtl (at least I know left crtl works 100%) and enter.

This method worked for me. Just remember to press Ctrl + Enter after entering in the key from the website. If you just press Enter, it won't work.
