Chidav, you are the man!
Interesting indeed.
Any adverse effect from the plastic? Plastic tend to release chemicals when exposed to heat. And we know the Sun can be burning hot in Africa. Maybe doing it during raining season? Just trying to fully process the idea, from all angles.
Very interesting
Nice one
Wow I love this

I'm from the Caribbean watching this I'd love to try, but where do you get so many plants and show a video where u plant it , also what date or time do u plant
You plant during the start of the raining season, if you don't have water or irrigation available and if you do, anytime
You are indeed amazing. I was so wowed by your yam in sacks video. I'm interested but in a very small scale but i do not know anything about yam planting eg month to plant( i live in PH) seedlings to buy etc. Pls help send me advice.
For you seeds, visit any farm market, they should have good seeds for you

Sir thanks u are doing well. 🙏Pls what is the name of the fungicide and insecticide u use to treat the yam B/4 planting?
For for any brand with active mancozeb for the fungicide and cyhalothrin for the insecticide.
How long do the yam in sack seedlings take to break dormancy from the time of cultivation to germination. I recently started this yam in sack on a small scale but the breaking of dormancy I can't really say how long
This could take within a month or could go as long as 60 to 90 days
Compitete 🍾
Please can you list the name of all chemicals for the treatments and the ferlizer you use for this farming???
When are u going 2 show us ur own harvest of the yams u planted in the sack like some months ago?
I av started this, just planted my yam, but please how can i use poultry waste as manure because am a poultry farmer so i av plenty poultry waste that i wish to use thanks, how often can one water the yam in sack in case if there is no rain
Use dried manure.
No specific number of times, just ensure your soil is moist. But it should not be water logged
@@ChidavAgriculturalHub thanks, wish to do this sack farming in big form, just starting small, i wish you will be my mentor as time goes on, thanks so much sir.
I am particular on the statement of all season production because of the irritation. Does it mean that yam doesn’t have a season?
Actually, you can cultivate any crop anytime, as long there's water or irrigation.
But, the rainfall season here determines the season. But with water available, you're good to go.
Temperature matters too but each state has a steady temp all year round in nigeria.. Mostly between 22 to 29 Celsius in the south and the temp is suitable for all yam species (Dioscorea spp), so yes Chidav is right
The soil might get compacted, what about irrigating the bags and then pouring it over,so it will be easy to remove??
This is dependent on the time you're harvesting.
But, you won't want to incur cost on irrigation when you've already gotten your harvesting target.
Just little effort is actually though. One of the advantages of having your yams in sacks though
Intriguing, will be nice if you can help to set us up too
That would be great.
You can leave a mail or WhatsApp message via number in video description
How do I contact you
I school in uniport but cus of the strike
I need to invest
I am interested but my fear is d health implication of planting in bags. Can't d bag chemicals Leach into d food?
Well, you have to use a sack that was not used to preserve chemicals.
Or, you ensure you do a thorough washing prior usage
I mean d chemical composition of d sac itself and it's gradual disintegration when exposed to weather
Well, for now, we've not done analysis of sacks to find out their chemical composition.
But, this are biodegradable materials and that's what we look out for. Reason we don't recommend the usage of nylon.
Please brother I will love to call you Please?
